COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hoptopus IPA is an 8-legged hophead’s dream. Its 8.8% ABV malt base balances with 8 separate additions of hops, 88 IBUs, and a foolishly generous dry-hop to make this denizen of the deep a lupulin delight.

16 oz can from Growlers to Go, Short Pump. Pours an unclear golden-orange color with a thin white head and some light, spotty lacework. Aroma is pine and grapefruit, grassy and floral too. A little pale malt, some caramel. Soft feel, decently dry. Good bitterness level. Tasty stuff.

Draft taproom. Golden. Heavy thick citrus aroma. Flavor is intense grapefruit peel - seriously tastes like you're taking a bit out of it. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a golden color with a white head. Nice citrusy hop aroma with some pine notes. Clean but flavorful, with a lingering hop dominance that carries citrus, fruit, and pine. I enjoyed this beer and think it’s a bit underrated. Notes: On tap at Bar Louie, Hampton VA Feb ’17

Thanks to a PUB’R operative for this. Pours hazy straw with off-white head. Nose is floral and dry-hopped deliciousness, with honeydew, mango, white pepper, and that’s just the nose. Tastes floral, hoppy, resiny, a true 88 IBU worth, as such, with a super smooth finish, velvety, more resiny hops white pepper, mango, delicious!

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2016 16 Oz can. I’m loving this brewery. Great ipa, they really got the northwest style in this one. Very crisp ipa, slight grapefruit flavor and great hope aroma.

Tap. Pours clear golden, small white head, creamy, decent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, hints of pine. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, classic and clean. Medium body, lingering bitterness.

Delicious IIPA courtesy of Dave from Abjuration Brewing. Thanks! Aroma was big and full of hops. Hot lemon peel, grass and grapefruit find. Pour was a beautiful hazy light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was big and hoppy. Definitely more on the tropical fruit hoppiness of things but the bitter grapefruit held its own and shone through. Malt backbone present but not sweet. Overall a pleasant and hoppy IIPA. Good carbonation.

16 oz. can. Clear orange. I don’t smell much. Resiny pine hops. Some grapefruit. Some caramel malt. Taste is more defined. Strong malt presence. Caramel and bready malts. Strong resiny pine hop flavor. Quickly builds in bitterness. Pine hop bitterness lingers in the finish. Medium heavy. Not a hop bomb by any means, but it’s a decent IPA.

Not a west coast style iipa at all. Lots of sweet malt and not a ton of citrus. I feel like I was lied to by the can.
