Follows all the traditional ingredients. It’s hazy. It’s yeasty. It has banana flavors and it’s very foamy, so yes it’s a perfect hefeweizen.

Sampled at the brewpub in SF. Pours a cloudy almost dingy yellow color with a small white head/ Nose is wheat and some banana. No clove detected. Light to medium body. Flavor has some banana and a hint of clove appears. Some what sweet in the citrus finish. Pretty average.

Tap at the brewpub, 17/08/12. Headless grey-gold murk. Not a looker. Good spicy banana and clove clinging with Swedish biscuit. Spiced biscuit aroma. Thin and excessively fizzy.

Tastes absolutely not like a bavarian Hefeweizen. Where is the typicall banana taste? Not to recommend!

Wulfstan (509) - California, USA - MAY 13, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2008 I had this on tap. it’s a decent beer but I thought it would be considered an American-style hefeweizen since it doesn’t taste German to me at all. It’s lightly hazy gold with light grain and citrus, and a little banana. It’s light and drinkable, with an overall rather dry quality but light sweetness. Drinkable, it’s rather bland, boring, and dry.

GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - AUG 1, 2006
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy yellow color with white head that laced the glass. Smells and tastes of the expected bananas and cloves. Clove is especially prominent in the flavor.
