Sampled at the Beach Chalet brewpub in SF. This was an amber pour with an off-white head. Nose of roasrted malts and floral hops. Medium body. Flavor is vegetable and fforal hops. Lightly bitter finish. Not really very good.

On tap at Lake Chalet in Oakland. Labeled as Regatta Red. It pours a clear red amber color with a foamy khaki head. The aroma is decent with some toasted malt, red berries and a hint of molasses. The flavor also has some toasted malt, a little caramel and low to medium piney bitterness. Low carbonation and a bit flabby in the mouth feel. One of their more tolerable beers.

Bomber to pint glass. Aromas of overt rich malt but also a hint of cardboard in the background. No detectable hop present - how unusual for an American Red! Pours clear amber-mahogany with an off-white head that retains as just a collar and a dusting across the top. Taste is bread and biscuit malts. Moderate high carbonation with a thin mouthfeel for the malt. Back half of palate is a rough bitterness that seems a little medicinal and finishes astringent. Some good aspects of this beer tail off in the taste, especially as it warmed.

Great aroma of caramel and nuts with a bit of chocolate. Deep ruby red color. Very caramel and actually a bit hop forward in taste. Slight smokiness. Smells better than it tastes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 26, 2013
Draught @ the Beach Chalet restaurant. Clear deep golden to amber pour. Aroma is spicy, some herbs, yeasty and with some grains. Flavor is slightly bitter, grainy and malty. A bit watery and boring.

mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Pours amber color with a medium head. Aroma of sweet fruits, some resin, hops and caramel. Flavor is pretty much the same with some nutty notes.

brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 25, 2012
Dark amber pour with an off-white head. Toasted malt, toffee, and bready hops. A hint of fruit esters, floral and grassy hops, and some celery notes on the finish. The flavor has a bit more pronounced celery/vegetal quality. Sweet bread, toast, and toffee malt base to the beer. Some light hop character, same as the aroma, and a very mild hop bitterness.

lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 19, 2012
Draught @ the brewpub, San Francisco. Rated on 18.10.2012.
Pours a copper brown with a small head. Aroma of toasted malts, nuts and mild bready notes. Flavour of toasted malts, nuts, raisins, sweet caramel and some grassy notes. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a malty, nutty finish. Good.

From sampler at the brewpub, 17/08/12. Pale ruby with a cream foam draping the tube. Peach confectionary and rose aroma. Sweet, peachy malt and flowers departing blandly with a hint of strawberry yeastiness. OK.

Some strong toasty and caramel taste. You can really feel the hop bitterness. But honestly speaking just not my favored taste.
