Im not a huge fan of your average red ale, and this is a bit beneath average. So, I would pass on this.

BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - SEP 22, 2011
On tap at the source. Pours with a clear copper-bronze hued body with a small off-white ring of foam. Aromas are malty, caramel, bready, raisins, fruity and estery. Flavors are dry and quite bitter, grainy, bready, estery, caramel, light esters, orange hop character. Dry, medium to light bodied, medium carbonation.

Ungstrup (38940) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2010
Draft. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of butterscotch and nuts, leading to a dry buttery finish. In my opinion it was off.

badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - SEP 10, 2010
Dark red with a creamy off white head. Nutty citrus and malty aroma and taste with a toffee finish.

IrishBoy (4254) - Bakersfield, California, USA - AUG 4, 2010
Draft at the brewpub. Nose is caramel, dry toast, and light floral hops. Amber with a small off white head. Flavor is lightly bitter, caramel, and the slight hint of butter barely noticeable.

SamGamgee (2585) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Draught at the giants brewfest. Dark red with a light beige head. Toasty and lightly roasted malt aroma. The flavor has a sweet toasty caramel sweetness and a dry toasty, almost roasted malt edge that reminds me a lot more of a brown than a red. A little lacking on body and mild on the hops. An odd brown-red hybrid type ale that could use a healthy hop balance.

jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 9, 2010
on tap-pours a retaining tight light tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-roasty/bread, earthy. Taste is medium malt-roasty/peat/bready, earthy hops bite.

yespr (48916) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2009
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and deep amber, golden, and with a small tan head. Toffee butterish and slight roasted caramel/breadish malt aroma. Sweet malty flavoured, light roasted note and a hint of liqourice. Butter notes disappear in the flavours. Ends mild bitter and with a reappearing butterish note from back of the nose.
