COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alpha Supreme is an over-the-top American pale ale brewed to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of New Brew Thursday’s beer webcast. For a special twist, we used a hefty dose of German rye malt to compliment American 2-row and light caramel malt. Alpha Supreme is outrageously hopped with Nelson Sauvin, a new hop variety from New Zealand, as well as Summit, Columbus, and Simcoe from the good old US. For a unique and bold aroma, we dry hopped Alpha Supreme with Nelson Sauvin and Columbus.

Tap at Beachwood. Filtered orange-tan. Foamy white head. Earthy, juicy, tangy hoop tones. Not an all out juicebomb though, it leans into the bitterness too. Really good.

(En fût à la brasserie): Oranges juteuse et leurs pelures dans une marmelade croustillante. Longue amertume et clarté des saveurs.

Tap at Churchills for SDBW. Pours a clear golden with great lacing. Nose is spot on kumquat and mangosteen- juicy, pithy, bright. Taste is clean, light as hell session APA with juicy passionfruit, sharp grassy balance. Dry, refreshing. Solid session APA offering from Beachwood.

On tap @ Toronado: Poured a golden blonde with a thin fluffy topping of head. The aroma is dominated by hops and has a metallic smell as if it were a jar full of coins. The drink is extremely bitter with a bold taste of hops that taste as though I just took a bite out of an unripe grapefruit. This comes across as unbalanced and tasting almost like a homebrewed IPA on steroids. Leaves behind too much of a metallic finish for my enjoyment.

Thanks to Julian for sharing this. This tasty pale ale has lots of hop goodness.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Clear golden color with ivory head. Big grapefruit, pine aromas. Light to medium bodied. Big bitter grapefruit rind, pine needle flavors in a wispy pale male base brew--good hop flavors but not enough malt to balance

On tap at Stone Bistro. Poured a golden orangish pour with thin white head. Aroma was grapefruit and dank floral hops. Taste was very malt forward with a small bite of hops. Good pale ale although I did enjoy the aroma much more than the taste.

Draught @ Toronado SD. Clear golden with a small white head. Nose of rye and citrus rinds. Lots of tropical fruit and grapefruit rind dominates, not much on the malt area other than some rye and a tinge of rye sweetness, which is just fine. Bone dry, bitterness at a 6. Low carbonation with a light body. Tasty.

Tap at Toronado copper gold color. Pine grass aroma. Flavors of bitter dry hops and mild hop back bone. Finishes pretty dry and lean . Great beer and could drink much more.
