COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amalgamator is our newest "West Coast" IPA that’s bursting with unique aromas and flavors. A light base of American 2-row malt makes way for the hops to take the stage. Amalgamator is hopped in the kettle with Amarillo, Warrior, Columbus, and Mosaic, a brand new American variety. The dry hop is a massive charge of Mosaic that lays down an amalgam of passion fruit, dank resin, and citrus aromas.

At GABF. Yellow. Citrus aroma. Lemon peel flavor. Strikingly tart. No malt to speak of. A summer beer.

Bottle. Sweet passion fruit aroma with light citrus hops as well as a bit of pine resiny hop bitterness. Pours clear golden colored with one finger of off white head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with sweet passionfruit hop flavors with a bit of grapefruit citrus. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with a hint of pine resiny bitterness. Excellent IPA.

Draft at the brewery. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (orange, grapefruit, flowers), with a hint of onion. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Another IPA made the way IPAs really should be...clean, balanced, and very satisfying / non-fatiguing to drink. Rich and extremely enjoyable to drink, even if the aroma is not quite as enticing as Alpha Galactic and Melrose. Darn solid though.

Bottle from imperial bottle shop Portland. The bottle is dated 5/17. Still a great beer even though most would think this would be past it's prime. Nice malt to hop ballance. A bit on the darker side for the malts. Juicy hops with a slight melon taste. Great just wish this was a little fresher.

Thanks Ryan for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing well filtered neon yellow with no head. The nose is pine resin forward. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Clean flavours of pine resin and a moderately intense sharp IPA bitterness on the finish followed by a little more clean pine.

Pours a somewhat cloudy orange color with a small white head. A nice fresh fruity nose. The flavor is big sugary natural oranges, resin, orange peel, zesty. Very good. Fresh bitterness. Lovely.

Slight haze, light blondish-amber. On the nose, some slightly stewed fruits, leaning towards the papaya tropical. Bitter, lean pale malts and the hop taste is a really nice grapefruit with a touch of papaya.
