COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopheads rejoice! Citraholic is a "modern" West Coast IPA that’s focused on Citra, one of our favorite new American hop varieties. Brewed with an abundance of Citra hops, we also blend in Warrior, Columbus, and Simcoe in the kettle for good measure. Citraholic is double dry hopped for two weeks with an abundance of Citra (and a touch of Columbus) imparting heavy aromas of citrus & tropical fruits with melon and gooseberry nuances. A base of American 2-row malt and scatterings of light British caramel malt create the perfect foundation for this unique and powerfully pungent IPA. You asked for it and we were happy to deliver!

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2017 Bold aroma leads to sharp citrus IPA flavours. Lacks a little depth but very drinkable. Pours pale amber with a clean white head.

On tap at Waypoint Public, San Diego. Pours hazy golden to orange with small white head. Hoppy, tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, pine. Some malty sweetness and lasting bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good stuff.

On draft, pours fairly hazy orange. Smells fairly dank though there are a lot of hops & citrus in there. Very hoppy up front, fairly bitter, almost harsh but I like it. Kind of a medium body, heavier than some IPA’s. Pretty damn good IPA.

ABUSEDGOAT (2771) - California, USA - JUL 4, 2017
Golden amber color with a white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, caramel, some tropical fruit. Medium bodied, high bitterness, somewhat rough around the edges but still enjoyable.

Huge aroma and citra hop bomb! Wow. A one-dimensional palate is all that stops this from being perfectly crafted. Only for hop heads. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Zymurgeist2 (2296) - Redwood City, California, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Draught at Harry’s in Redwood City. Pours hazy light orange with large white head that fades to large soapy bubbles. Aroma is tropics and lemon. Faint sweetness in the back provides nice counterbalance. Taste is tropics with slight dank. Moderate high bitterness could be toned down a little.

Bottle, many thanks Max! Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is citra hops, sweatsocks, petroleum, quite pungent. Taste is citra hops, pellet-style, sweatsocks, grassy. Medium carbonation, silky mouthfeel. Warming finish. Good, but a bit overdone.

anstei (2358) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - APR 30, 2017
Bottle. Pours almost clear strong yellow. Aroma is strongly citric, light pine, minerals. Body is medium, strongly bitter, too little sweetness behind it. Still citric, but also sweaty socks, petroleum. Lively carbonation. Palate lingers on citrus. Good, but overly ambitious.

ciocanelu (2604) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - APR 13, 2017
Really hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma is quite dank, citrusy with herbal hop notes. Taste starts hoppy up-front, quite bitter with harsh hop notes. Herbal and dank hop profile with a red grapefruit flavor on the aftertaste. Medium to light bodied, medium to low carbonation. Overall it’s a quite good IPA with harsh hops but I don’t mind it.

jinroh (1704) - ESTONIA - APR 9, 2017
Pours orange and quite clear with only a few white bubbles on top. Aroma has a bit of skunk and overripe tropical fruits. Taste brings out more aspects of Citra with lemon zest and grapefruit peels. Body is relatively weak and you can feel mainly hops. Dry and tannin-rich finish. Great beer to get to know Citra better.
