On tap at Growler Guys, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, resinous notes, and residual light candied sweetness. Flavour is somewhat messy, with resinous hops, candied sweetness and caramel bread malt. A bit jagged, with a higher-than-desired sweetness. Not bad overall, but not what I hope for in a IIPA. Draft. Huge trop hop aroma, esp guava. The Simcoe cuts the flavor from being too tropical. Instead, some honeydew and rind and some kiwi. Finishes with no hint of the caramel in the beer description; water cracker instead. Dry finish. Outstanding. Marheb (6334) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 6, 2016
