COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mocha Machine is a well-engineered endeavor in massive aromatics and rich flavors. Brewed with an array British and German malts, this burly brew is infused with masterfully roasted coffee from Portola Coffee Lab in Costa Mesa, CA. It is then aged on cacao nibs from Equador, adding an awesomely deep dimension of fudge.

Basic porter dark brown appearance, the smell is not as strong as you would think it would be with Portola Coffee brewed to it, the taste is incredible however, coffee notes cacao, malt are on an equal level. The bitter coffee/chocolate taste is not overpowering, its really a smooth beer. So complex you dont feel the 9.2% ABV.

Aromas of coffee & medium dark chocolates. Flavors are dominated by mild roast coffee with some chocolates following behind. Thin body, light carb. Overall a drinkable, coffee-frowardalbeit one-dimensionalimperial porter that lacks complexity and body.

Draft at Long Beach brewpub. It is really fudgy and coffee-y and its a thick porter with good body. I like.

On tap at California Craft Beer Summit. Pours dark brown with a thick oat-generated tan head and a strong coffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied chocolate and roasted malt flavor with a huge dose of delicious coffee that stays on the palate.

Huge chocolate coffe aroma in a jet black pour. Lovely balance between the two, and the base hops and malt, is nicely completed by the clean dry finish.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is toasted, chocolaty with striong coffee. Background sweetness. The flavor is coffee forward and silky on the palate with a nice chocolaty backbone and light roast in the finish. Pleasant sweetness throughout. Really enjoyable.
