COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mocha Machine is a well-engineered endeavor in massive aromatics and rich flavors. Brewed with an array British and German malts, this burly brew is infused with masterfully roasted coffee from Portola Coffee Lab in Costa Mesa, CA. It is then aged on cacao nibs from Equador, adding an awesomely deep dimension of fudge.

Wow super well-balanced dialed in Imperial order. Aroma is lots of cocoa and coffee. Flavor is like nose sweet dominates but not overly so. Perfect body in Finnish. Great drinking beer.

Bottle thanks to bytemesis. Nose is huge in coffee followed by by fudge. Light milk sugar sweetness with a coffee and cream thing going on. Smells great. Nearly black with a light tan head. Taste is fudge up front followed quickly by a medium roast coffee. Sharp but not burnt or overly roasted. Light balancing sweetness. Almost could use a little more mouthfeel. The coffee seems to thin it out a bit. Some light sugar sweetness in the very finish with just a touch on the lips. A light alcohol warming. Pretty dang good.

(On tap @ Bottlecraft Liberty Station, SD, April 1/17) Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of roast cacao nibs, medium-full roast coffee, not too aggressively bitter though, with nuts, semi-sweet dark malts, nice and full. Flavour full of chocolate and cacao, pretty strong dark coffee, somewhat sweet dark malt, light vanilla, low roasted grain character, relying on the coffee for light roast. No alcohol. Medium full body, smooth carbonation. Pretty coffee focused, conveys the mocha flavour well, not exceptionally complex but pretty polished.

Tasting at Matt’s, 01-10-17
Black color, medium brownish head. Nice aroma of ground coffee, cocoa, truffles. Full bodied and smooth; the dark malt is not too roasty, blends well with the coffee and the dry cocoa, and the moderate sweetness.
Excellent.

650ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pour a dark opaque brown with a thin beige head. Nose is amazingly good, the coffee and chocolate presently really well. Flavour is a bit rough, as in not smooth. The coffee is there some chocolate. I’m guessing the lighter body allows the alcohol to feel more prominent. It’s ok, but it could do with some thickening and better masking of the alcohol.
