Nitro draft at the Long Beach location. Pours like a classic dry stout, dark brown with a khaki head of tiny bubbles. Huge coffee aroma I can smell from feet away but also some nuttiness. Gentle flavor of dark roasted malt with a hint of espresso. Tasty and sessionable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is super coffee forward with some really nice but notes and light fruit. Hints of toasted bread and roasted malts. Pours a nice brown with a bit of a burnt amber hue and a medium sized, thick, light tan head with great retention. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a nice coffee note. Lots of nuttiness and some light fruit notes. Moderate roast notes and light chocolate and toasted bread. Moderate bitterness with some lingering coffee notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice coffee forward beer with a nice, lighter malt backbone and body.

On tap @ Beachwood Brewing. Chestnut brown with off-white foam. Super nutty and spicy coffee. A lot of roasted nuts and toasted malts. Bready and slight caramel notes. A nice mild sweetness followed by bitter coffee and mild roast. Decent amount of roasted nuts, particularly hazelnut and almond. Pretty nice stuff.
