COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"System of a Stout" is an imperial stout infused with all the traditional ingredients of a savory cup of Armenian coffee: cardamom, molasses, coffee (of course), and brandy. In the kettle, the beer is lightly dosed with green cardamom for exotic spice notes. Molasses adds a richness that seamlessly blends in. The finished beer was then aged for several days masterfully roasted coffee from Portola Coffee Lab in Costa Mesa. The beer was then aged for several weeks on Armenian brandy-soaked oak chips for yet another dimension of flavors and aromas. Take your time and enjoy this endlessly complex and nuanced beer.

On tap at Loyal Legion, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings mocha character, with dry cocoa, some cinnamon and medium roasted malt. Flavour is very robust, with lots of mocha and cinnamon. Rich and wonderfully textured. Excellent.

WOW! The smell alone is enough caffeine to wake the dead. The taste is very strong Armenian coffee and sodium! If you like bitter sweet, this isn’t it, this is straight coffee and salt taste isn’t for me just too damn salty, but if you like strong coffee with a sodium taste, you will love it.

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. It has a lot in common with Prairie Bomb on coffee/cocoa side. Gooood.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lingering ring of brown foam. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa and light oak. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate and light oak with a smooth dry lingering chocolate finish.

650ml bottle. Black with lasting head. Aroma of molasses, roasted malts, dark coffee, orange peel. Taste is more spicy and fruity than I imagined with coffee and chocolate playing a nice supporting role. Some sweet, bitter and umami flavours in there. Above all, very balanced and drinkable for an impy with some nice unique character.
