22oz, red waxed bottle via trade. pours a deep, dark brown and sits like the blackest coffee in the glass capped by a dark mocha head with a hint of rust around the edges. aroma is amazing, perhaps the most coffee forward beer i’ve had in a while, with huge notes of freshly ground beans, strong espresso, massive roast, smoke, and hints of vanilla backed by subtly notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, oatmeal, cocoa powder, and cedar. flavor is simply superb with immense notes of roasted espresso, mocha latte, belgian chocolate, and hazelnut creamer backed by smooth vanilla, molasses, figs, and a hint of spice on the back end. palate is smooth as silk, truly like drinking an iced espresso, with light carbonation and a lingering finish of roast coffee and chocolate. overall, this is a truly fantastic imperial stout for the coffee lover.
Bottle @ Windin' and Grindin' in Grindsted, 2017. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Cold coffee, roasted malts, chocolate ashes and tar. Hard roasted. Bitter roasted coffeeish finish.Fishy in a way - salty. Intense and tasty! Guruhso (998) - Grindsted, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle. Grinding & Winding tasting, 2017. Pitch black with light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dried fruits, loads of coffee and cacao. Heavy sweet and heavy bitter with lingering roasted coffee-notes. Full and sticky. A nice one MrOrla (3529) - Odense C, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of creamy, loads of coffee, chocolate, loads of roast - hints of ash. Taste is loads of coffee, ground coffee, loads of cocoa, rather bitter coffe and a bitter roast. Special but well balanced. hallinghansen (3418) - Odense SV, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle @ Grinding & Winding in Grindsted. Black body with a small light brown head. Chocolate, espresso coffee, coffee beans, roasted malt. Complex. Plovmand (8616) - Grindsted, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle at Grinding & Winding in Grindsted tasting. It pours jet black with a creamy dense beige head. The aroma is intense coffee and cocoa. Sweet roasted notes. Roasted flavor with coffee and cocoa notes. Quite simple as a whole but these three notes are very intense overall and the kick is the balance which is beyond.

22oz bottle pours dark brown black with finger of dark tan head. Nose and taste have huge bright expressive coffee notes, earthy chocolate and slight nuttyness. Finishes with some balanaced semi sweet cocoa and roast coffee, lasting. The nose was the star. Nicely executed mouthfeel. Wonderful coffee beer. TylerGreenDC (1054) - - JUL 11, 2017
Draft. Aroma of iced coffee. Flavors of coffee candy (like See’s) and booming roasted dark malts that hint at 85% dark chocolate without really being that. Together, harmony. I don’t like coffee beers, and this... Wow. Mrnoluv (363) - long beach, California, USA - JUN 18, 2017
Black color with a brown coffee color head, the smell is coffee as expected, very milky feel to it. The taste is better sweet chocolate, very well balanced coffee, cooca beans. There is a hit of dark sweet fruits as well. Very well good beer. fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2017
Tasting at Matt’sMrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - APR 27, 2017
Black color with brown head. Deep coffee aroma, intriguing. Smooth mouthfeel, lean dark malt flavor, delicate coffee complement, a bit roasty, nutty, with mild ashy feeling in the final.
If you like lean, not overly sweet and thick Imperial Stout, this is excellent.
Bottle, red waxed, brought in by a guest. Pours a clear dark black beer with a minimal amount of light beige head on top. Aroma of mostly espresso and roast, not much else but that’s fine. Flavor has strong coffee and molasses alongside some nice roasty characters. Full bodied, yet one-sided, but absolutely not boring. Could drink this stuff while waking up for sure. The booze makes it a bit cloying and the light carbonation sharpens the alcohol even more. Aftertaste has lots of coffee and sweetness going on. Nice stuff.
