Tap. Got to drink this in Cork before production moved. Good and dark like a stout should be. Bitter, and a bit on the dryer side. Not as smooth as Guinness but a good, solid stout.
My favourite thing to drink. Best Irish stout in my opinion. Would recommend Gangstergafje (1102) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - APR 28, 2017
The beer looks amazing. It has the perfect Irish stout look. The beer is pitch black on the eye, but a beautiful ruby red glow appears in strong light. The beer is clear. On top of the beer an amazing layer of creamy thick almond coloured soft foam is formed, with amazing foam retention.
The smell of the beer isnít that strong, but it is nice. I smell some nice, but delicate roasted barley, giving a nice bitter and slightly savoury tone. There are also some sweeter malt tones and some nice liquorice aromas. Hops arenít really present in the smell.
The taste is good. It is delicate and balanced. There is a lovely bitter tastiness and sweet malts. There isnít much else, but the maltiness is very good. It doenít need much else. It has that Irish stout simplicity and perfection. I love the nitrogen like smoothness of the taste.
The palate of the beer is perfect. The body is medium and carbonation is low, but the beer is damn smooth. Perfect. The finish is nice and contains some tontines. Near perfect. jann3 (379) - Espoo, FINLAND - OCT 10, 2016
Pours very dark reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is rather similar with malts, chocolate and a hint of liquorice. Finishes with moderately crispy floral notes. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly watery. (500ml can, bb25.08.17) h0ppingmad (104) - Barcelona, SPAIN - AUG 23, 2016
On tap, pours a dark brown with a thick creamy off-white head, good lacing. Slight aroma of malts and toffee. Malty taste, caramel, slightly sweet, with a smooth finish. Medium body and carbonation. L_Lovecraft (596) - - AUG 11, 2016
Roasted malts, hints of coffee, pitch black with dark ruby/brown reflections, a very creamy and rocky beige head, taste is similar to the aroma...quite good. perfect in a classic irish pub.

In de Temple bar pub.. Maar ook al van Heineken Ireland.. Ruikt vooral naar de hot chocolate van Suus. Verder weer prima Guinness achtig. Taboada (1298) - Compostela (Galiza), - MAY 12, 2016
Tasted from the tap several times during my 3 months stay in Cork. Back on these happy days drinking irish beer and partying with irish people. This one was a Must! Next one please! aleksander9 (1660) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 23, 2016
Black with creamy white head. Roast, milk chocolate and coffee. Smooth, floral, nutty, ashtray and light acidic finish. Overall: good. Is this Guinness? undercurrent25 (2130) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2016

Draught at Tom Barry. Almost black with a creamy, off-white head. Roasty malt and coffee aroma. Very smooth. Bitter start with a full, malty finish. Good macro beer.
