Draught at Bistro’s 10th DIPA festival. Hazy orange with a small head. Spiced orange aroma, very fruity, with mild grainy malt. Different for sure, but really pleasant. The flavor is dry citrus with plenty of tangerine supported by bready and lightly grainy malt. Smooth bitterness and good overall balance, though plenty hoppy. Medium bodied with no alcohol felt and a smooth texture. Really tasty, and definitely stood out from the crowd at the festival with that spicy orange thing going on. Aroma: Nose is mostly fruits, orange, other citrus/tropical fruits, some pine too
Appearance: Pours a caramel color with a small foamy white head
Flavor: Taste is pretty sweet for the style, some bitterness from the citrus/pine hops there too
Palate: Medium-full bodied with a somewhat oily mouthfeel, and a nice drinkability
Overall this is a pretty solid IIPA. It leans sweet, but has a very nice flavor. I liked it, another nice offering from Bear Republic. A nicely made brew.
Draft @ Toad in the Hole. Pours a bright, hazy-orange color; fine-bubbled white head with decent retention and lacing; solid pour. Lots of citrus notes, pine, and grapefruit in the aroma; nicely resiny, oily, and pleasantly dry. Medium-to-full body: lots of dense, oily and resiny hop character; nicely dry, plenty of orange, citrus and piney bitterness; tongue-numbing to a degree; very solid DIPA, and I’ve been pretty sick of them lately; tasty stuff. Lasting orange and citrus hop character; nicely dry and toasty. jredmond (8285) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Draft at RnH in NYC with Andrew. This was the final Bear Republic in my flight of four. Ultra fruity and juicy, citrus hops. Palate is medium and.... juicy? Slight alcohol burn towards the finish.

My Bottom Line:Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - APR 11, 2010
Tropical fruit and bitter resins emanate from this juicy Double IPA, merging into honeyed cereals which sculpt a cushiony yet bulky mouthfeel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the cloudy orange amber.
-This has more character than their Five Zero, which I tried side by side.
-The resinous hops provide plenty of bitterness, yet this is never overwhelming. It is done tastefully.
-A sandy component also protrudes throughout; with the tropical connotations, methinks there’s quite a bit of Simcoe in here...
On tap at Rattle ’n’ Hum, NYC.
On tap at rattle n hum. Ultra fruity and citrus juicy hops. Palate is wet. Slight rye burn towards the end. tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - APR 12, 2010
The aroma is earthy, caramel, sweet. The appearance is dark orange/red, white head. The flavor is citrus, caramel, sweet. The finish also has a sweetness to it, along with pine and resin flavors. The body is medium thick. Quite good. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 5, 2010
Tap at BT> Pours a med amber thin head. Aroma is hoppy, mint, citrus, earth and juicyfruit bubblegum? Flavor is more earth, toffee sweetness, citrus, some light tropical fruity notes, floral light grassy tea, slight phenolic kick, moderate sweetness in the end with a nice raw strong bitterness.
