COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blended Dark & Sour Ale • ABV: 9.0% • IBUs: 25 This special blend features a mélange of two barrel-aged black beers, including Cognac Barrel-Aged Old Baba Yaga, along with a strong golden ale and spontaneously fermented Tartare aged on dried apricots. Expressing rich malt and tartness with hints of apricot and French oak, this is a beer worthy of the lead up to Christmas.

Tap at the 2016 HAF A: Mahogany body, creme head. N: Cherry, marshmallow, some diacetyl, raspberry, grapefruit, lemon zest and some apricot. T: Sour, and lightly sweet. M: Light body, no alcohol, crisp carbonation. O: Solid. A nice change-up from the stouts. Not as good as the tartare would be by itself, I don’t think.

On tap at the 16 HAF. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a medium white head. A big funky woody, sour nose. Sour cherry, berries, some toast, oak, tanins. Quite flavorful. Solid. Flemish style sour.
