Mild malts and hops. The low alcohol content (for a DIPA) makes it a very drinkable beer. Beautiful golden color. glennmastrange (2856) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - AUG 1, 2011
Tap. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, heavy pine and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast with background notes of green pineapple and solvent. Head is small, frothy, slightly off-white with some slippery lacing and good legs, and is mostly. Color is sparkling clear amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft carbonation. Although this beer has a bite here and there, everything it has says DIPA and there is still a somewhat easy drinking quality to it. popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 28, 2011
Tap at City Beer Store. I’ve had it a few times before, but this keg seemed particularly good. It has a huge hoppy aroma, full of fresh cut grass, marijuana, lemons, lemongrass, earth and mineral notes. Good malt background that stays out of the way. Packs a lot of flavor for the abv. Great DIPA. tia (2152) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Tap @ Capital Ale Downtown. I may have found a new favorite. I always like their Racer 5. Clean big hops + long hop finish. Perfumey stuff comes up as it warms. Like Ruination, my current favorite. I think I’ll have to have them side by side- more than once- just to be sure... BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 22, 2011
On tap at Papago. Burnt tangerine pour with a sizable white rocky head that left some lacing. Aroma shows a blend of candied citrus, honey, and caramel. Flavor is similar with lots of toffee sitting on top of the leafy, grassy, grapefruity hops. Slick.

Clear golden amber with a small white head... nice retention decent lacing... Aroma of grapefruit and citrus with mild sweet malts as well. Flavors follow suit nicely, loads of citrus and fruity pebble flavors... awesome beer, medium bodied medium mouthfeel, lively... craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 20, 2011
4 oz draft at ChurchKey. deep orange pour with a small white head. big orange / citrus hop nose and flavor throughout. solid body with a really nice balance between big citrus hops and sweet / caramel malts. zesty finish with a lasting bitterness. dionysian_son (277) - Colorado, USA - JUL 19, 2011
Pours a surprisingly deep red with a thick white head and moderate lace. Nose is resiny and piney with some elements of medium roast malt. Full mouthfeel starting with a light citrus, moving into a syrupy grass and orange peel hop explosion. A hop lovers dream. waolsen (1376) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - JUL 19, 2011
Tap @ falling rock. Copper, clarity, thin head. Malty and pine hop aroma. Big crisp hops and malty backbone. Pretty awesome Zeswaft (1768) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2011
Freshly tapped keg, and holla! Unfilterred orange. Aroma is a little underwhelming but some citrus, mostly grapefruit. Flavor is fantastic. Rich grapefruit hops and a touch of malt but perfectly balanced. Im glad the abv is reasonable. Delicious.
