Aroma is slightly dulled hops, with citrus grapefruit and earthy notes. Taste is hop forward followed by a happier finish. Nice solid IPA.

Pours a caramel golden with a short white head. Sweet orange, circus peanut, and sweet grain nose. Flavors closely approximate the nose.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 10/20/2016. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon/orange rind, pine, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding DIPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Dorwart (2603) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - AUG 27, 2016
Nice two inch thick head of fine and dense bubbles from a somewhat vigorous pour. Fruity aroma with some pineapple, roasted grains, sea spray and some light spicy hops. Color is a dark amber. Wow, very smooth on the palate and goes down effortlessly. Toasted grains, tea leaves, herbal hops, light sweetness for balance and a hint if bitter/acidic nuts late swallow. Light alcohol presence with a somewhat more pronounced warming. Finishes lingering bitterness and dryness. A pretty damn tasty and well balanced IIPA. Good stuff from Bear Republic!

OrthoDoc (189) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2016
Top 5 IPA for me here. Pours a cloudy amber color. Aroma of juicy fresh hops - grapefruit, pine, and some tropical fruits. Perfect mouthfeel and bitterness. Reminds me of the OG Ruination very much. They absolutely nailed this one. The perfect west coast IPA. Will buy if I can locate it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very hazy orange - amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Light malts, pleasant light sweetness. Decent hop spice into cooling pine. Little fresh orange and tangerine and their respective peel. FInishes fairly dry and pithy. It’s a decent DIPA for sure but there are many better around.
