Yes, very fresh and piney something recent batches of Pliny has been lacking. Couldn’t put this beer down. Worth pouring into a nice ipa glass as the presentation is outstanding, and the legs worth noting. Hope they brew this recipe year round!
This is a very good Imperial IPA whoever very much burying the very public trademark. It has there heavy resin forward character rather than now more popular citrusy or tropical fruit characteristics that personally I prefer. It's a good beer but the the Piney resin thing gets a little heavy. There is some malt there but the Hops dominate. Good carbonation medium-length bitter finish. Good drinking beer nonetheless. gripweed57 (2794) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - OCT 10, 2017
12 ounce bottle. Hazy Amber orange color. Big rocky beige head. Rich toasted malt nose hints at caramel. Toasted caramel malt flavor upfront has spicy, earthy notes. Chewy, sticky malty midtaste, with notes of resiny, overripe citrus hops. Finish is spicy with notes of vanilla and warming alcohol. Dank bitter aftertaste. Very smooth for an IIPA. Enjoyable. dwyerpg (6365) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 2017
The best part of this beer by far is that it's so smooth I thought it was a standard ipa. Didn't taste the alcohol at all Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 24, 2017

Pours hazy dark orange with a big puffy beige head, excellent retention. Aromas of pine resin, tropical fruit and flowers, caramel, and toast. Medium full body, rich, moderately dry, good carbonation. Lightly sweet, fairly strong lingering bitter finish. A good solid Imperial IPA. willisread (3544) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 30, 2017
Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep gold to light copper with a finger and a half of foam that lingers. Caramel, pine, pungent orange. Bitter and sweet on the palate. Lots of toasted caramel. Piney bitterness. Simple and straightforward DIPA. snoworsummer (5959) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 28, 2017
From a bottle. Pours hazy amber with a frothy beige head. Tastes like caramel malt, earthy hops, some grapefruit, and bready. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like grapefruit hops, caramel malt, and bread. Dal9000 (665) - Ohio, USA - AUG 27, 2017
Sampled at 2017 Dayton Alefest- first taste is " oh, that's good" caramel citrus with a toasted finish typical of a good DIPA.
