Tap @ RnH w James. Nice black pour (red hue) with silky brown head. Smells sour, berry, chocolatey, bready and malty. Palate is out of control with sour fruit, malty backbone and an underlying alcohol warming. Also some breadiness, but not a huge hop profile. That’s all that’s lacking, if I even dare use the word. Scrumptious as hell. Love the sour notes. jredmond (8288) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 10, 2011
Draft at Rattle. Pours a deep dark murky Brown with off white lacing. Aroma is oak, wine, dark fruit, sour notes, chocolate, and light dust. Mouthfeel is medium with vinegar notes leading the way for Windows, oak, and sour funk. Reminds me of cuvee de tomme without the cherries. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 4, 2010
tap at RnH (BR event) - dark pour with a thin head. Nice, sweet caramel, chewy body and puckering (lactic and a little tooth tingling). Lots f grapefruit cherries, brown sugar. tasty but pretty heavy. aroumatic, slight sour funky with a touch of earthiness. sharp carbonation and ending with carbonic notes. finishes woody and astringent. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JAN 9, 2011
Draft @ BGH, sour bear republic event. Brune pour with tan head. Light fruit, oak, tart, with some spices in the aroma. Flavor sour with some balsamic, and acetic tones, fruit, spice, and and bit of sweetness. blipp (9295) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 30, 2010
Draft. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Sour/tart aroma with some woody hints. The flavor has some dark fruity tartness, some acidic notes, and a woody hint. Not bad.

On tap at Bar Great Harry. Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights and a large beige head. Light sourness and a little bit of wood. Medium bodied, nice oude bruin flavors, light vinegar. Toast and wood with some light sourness and some light plastic on the finish. A bit lackluster. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2010
Deep brown pour with a tight white head. The nose is a pronounced cocoaish/plummy note along with a bit of soft fruity sweetness. There is a faint hint of tartness on the back along with a bit of soft oakiness and a kiss of toasted malt. A light lactic component along a little bit of wildness. Despite the oak and tartness, there is a lingering chewy sweetness along the back of the palate. It’s decent enough although I can’t say I’m a huge fan of these dark sours. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 2, 2010
Tap at BGH. Aroma not as big, full, fruity as the Prickly Pear version. Bad sour barrel character here, tangerine, campfire. Licorice and acetic acid flavor (hint, those don’t mix), bitter wood. The sourness is harsh, undesirable. italarican (1550) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 7, 2010
Tap at RnH. Cocoa prune pour with khaki head. Aroma is a blend of smoke, whisky, and grapefruit. Similar mix in the flavor, but it doesn’t work as well. Odd smoke-vinegar hybrid. Acetic cardboard. Ummmm, ok.

Draft. Pours a black body with a scant off white head. Light viney herbal hop tones with hints of spice and herbs. Tart vinous notes, light berries, and brown sugar. Oak with some light spicy yeast tones. Sour with hints of lactic acid and a mild warming. Ok.
