Tap @ RnH w James. Nice black pour (red hue) with silky brown head. Smells sour, berry, chocolatey, bready and malty. Palate is out of control with sour fruit, malty backbone and an underlying alcohol warming. Also some breadiness, but not a huge hop profile. That’s all that’s lacking, if I even dare use the word. Draft at Rattle. Pours a deep dark murky Brown with off white lacing. Aroma is oak, wine, dark fruit, sour notes, chocolate, and light dust. tap at RnH (BR event) - dark pour with a thin head. Nice, sweet caramel, chewy body and puckering (lactic and a little tooth tingling). Draft. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Sour/tart aroma with some woody hints. The flavor has some dark fruity tartness, some acidic notes, and a woody hint. Not bad.

On tap at Bar Great Harry. Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights and a large beige head. Light sourness and a little bit of wood. Medium bodied, nice oude bruin flavors, light vinegar. Deep brown pour with a tight white head. The nose is a pronounced cocoaish/plummy note along with a bit of soft fruity sweetness. There is a faint hint of tartness on the back along with a bit of soft oakiness and a kiss of toasted malt. A light lactic component along a little bit of wildness. Despite the oak and tartness, there is a lingering chewy sweetness along the back of the palate. Tap at RnH. Cocoa prune pour with khaki head. Aroma is a blend of smoke, whisky, and grapefruit. Similar mix in the flavor, but it doesn’t work as well. Odd smoke-vinegar hybrid. Acetic cardboard. Ummmm, ok.

Draft. Pours a black body with a scant off white head. Light viney herbal hop tones with hints of spice and herbs. Tart vinous notes, light berries, and brown sugar. Oak with some light spicy yeast tones. Sour with hints of lactic acid and a mild warming. Ok.
