Bottle from North Station Liquors, Boston. Great aroma of cherry candy, With ever so slight roasty notes. Full body, a little flat. Cherry and other fruits, roasty and licorice notes, bitter finish. Nice black ipa. gunnar (9695) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2014
Bottle from Half Time webshop. Pours almost pitch black with a big creamy tanned head. Aroma of roasted malts, liquorice and orange. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Taste of dark malts, weak roasty and some good piney hops towards the lingering dry bitter finish.

"Pretty much exactly what I expected/hoped for from this brew. Like all the other "Racer" IPAs. pungent hops, both pine and citrus, ample bitterness...and a light but distinct roasted malt, coffee abd coca character. At no point do you realize you are drinking an imperial strength brew. I don’t think this will have a long shelf life, but very good fresh. Finishes bitter and dry." julesjis (256) - Oregon, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Great dark color and beautiful tan head. This beer looked delicious. The beer was a bit sweet and bitter, maybe a bit too bitter in the finish for me. liquidhedonism (289) - Beaverton, Oregon, USA - AUG 27, 2014
22 oz bottle from Uptown Market in Beaverton, OR. The boozy aroma has it all: sweet molasses, roasty grains, and some floral hoppiness. The texture of this full-bodied beer is syrupy, and the finish is bitter. A malty sweetness like this one has is my favorite thing to find in a Black IPA, and for my tastes, it is a necessity to balance out the astringency of the roasted grains and the bitterness of the hops. The flavor profile even remains solid and balanced as the beer warms up. This beer is perfect on all accounts. Easily one of the best Black IPAs I’ve ever had!

Bottled. Pours deep brown nearly black and an average, lacing, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, grapefruit and pine. Slightly sweei flavor that enss up dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Black IPA. sic1314 (4967) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2014
Poured deep dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of rich roast malt, molasses and liquorice. Medium body, flavour is as the aroma, quite bitter, not much fruit. jmgreenuk (9978) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - AUG 1, 2014
Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, butterscotch. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a rich hop bitter, molasses, sweet fruit palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a great deal of life and lacks the defining black IPA hop character, but a good beer all the same. kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2014
