Bomber pours black with ruby edges and a tan head. Nose of pine, citrus. Taste starts with ample bitterness. pine, citrus, and hop resin take command only giving way to some moderate roast and chocolate on the finish. Yum, Yum.
Draught at Noc Noc. Amber color, mixed with brown, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, hops, mango, resin and a hint of roasted malts. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, resin, peach, grass and a bit of pine. Very nice brew. SirLimpsalot (4162) - SWEDEN - MAR 5, 2016

Draft at the brewpub, served in a flight. Pours a deep opaque brown with a small tan head that settles into a ring and an island of film, leaving lace in the glass. Notes of roasted malts, citrusy and earthy hops, dark chocolate, and tea. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, malty mouthfeel. Seems a bit old, which is odd. Not bad, otherwise. Draft at source. Nose is moderate in cocoa and citrusy hops. Pour is deep brown with red highlights belabor isnabclash of piney and citrus hop bitterness with roasted grains. Not well balanced at all. Way to bitter and way to clashing.

Draught at Bear Republic. Deep brown liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of coffee, citrus, pine, tangerine, light grain and toast. Sample on tap at the brewpub. Opaque black pour with lacy tan foam. Aroma is really roasty, tons of burnt malt, fruity, piney resinous hop. Pours two fingers of tan head on the darkest brown body.
The aroma is roasted malt, pine and a little grapefruit.
The taste is nicely pine bitterness throughout with the roasted malt keeping it in check. Great profile.
The texture is smooth.

Bottle... Pours hazy and dark brown with a tan head. The aroma features chocolate, resin and a light splash of alcohol. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. The flavor is roasty, burnt, bitter and a touch chocolaty. As this warms, the resiny hop bitterness doesn’t mellow. It stands strong. Burnt, grassy, pine finish.
