Sour Monday at Jupiter. Deep rich roasty malt aroma with blackberries. Flavor is a pleasant balance of sour and bitter. I happen to love this a lot.

Tasted at the 4th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/14/2009. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a med red brown color. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is blackberries, fruity and sweet with a hint of tart and funk. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Nice blackberry flavors. Not overly sweet or overpowering. Hides the 11% alcohol very well. A nice blend of malt, fruit, wood and tartness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clear dark brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of blackberry, roasted malt, vanilla and light oak. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest in Hayward. Great appearance - dark brown in color with a huge creamy tan head and good lacing. Aroma is bretty and mildly tart with lots of blackberries and some oak. This was apparently aged in a "neutral barrel" (Swiss maybe) so no liquor notes in there. Flavor is lots of blackberries, great bretty tartness, and some yeast. Oak barrel notes also in there, and as barrels will do when used correctly, they round out and smooth the flavors. Very well-balanced beer overall. Smooth on the palate with medium body and well-hidden ABV, with not much acidity despite the tartness. Overall a really awesome beer. Draft at Bistro BA fest. Dark colored pour. Aroma had some of the slightly sour blackberries. Flavor was medicinal, seemed like the blackberries really clashed with the yeast and other roasted dark-beer flavors. Flavor was muted overall.
