Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

12-ounce bottle poured into glass, producing minimal white head with no lacing. Cloudy golden-orange color. Aroma is pineapple, peach and pine. Flavor is orange, grapefruit, pine needles, and a prickly hoppy zestiness. It’s a bright hop profile from the four-hop cocktail. Body is moderate to full; a creamy, slick mouthfeel. Exceptionally drinkable DIPA, especially for the ABV.

Sample at Studio 35 as part of the Princess Bride movie and beer tasting on 2/19/17. Pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, orange, grapefruit and pine. Malt and sweet orange flavor with a bitter grapefruit finish. Nice.

Pours a slightly hazy, copper-gold. with smallish head. Aroma has citrus (lemon!) notes and piney hops. Flavor is full of citrus and hops, with a quite significant alcohol burn to it (the one drawback noted). Otherwise, not bad.

I absolutely love this. Full of fruity hips, mostly grapefruit, in both the aroma and the body. Nice bittering hops at the back end. Excellent beer.

On tap at Muddy Waters with Johnston crew. Chalice/tulip style pour. Hazy and cloudy deep orange with a golden tinge. Solid lacing and a quarter finger white head. Aroma is heavy citrus with some pine resin characteristics as well. Taste is very bright and fresh with plenty of elements of citrus (grapefruit) and a dank quality towards the end and at the finish. Beautiful mouthfeel with a slight oily/resiny lean. This is how a double IPA should be made. Highly recommended.

Tap at Beer Hunters, Pori. Dark orange color, small steady white head, lace. Citrus and pineapple in the nose. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Tropical fruity, pineapple, citrus. Quite sweet, a bit alcoholic but pleasant and hoppy.

Tap (One Pint, Helsinki)
Sweet mashy DIPA aroma, fruity, citrussy, piney, a bit in-ya-face. Taste kinda what you’d expect given the aroma, but the in-ya-face aspect is toned down appreciably. Almost lightish palate with zesty bite and carbon dioxide. Certainly a bit brash, but drinkability remarkably there. Finish a little soapy, piney, and zesty. Almost enjoyed this DIPA, that’s how good it is!

Hazy orange with light grayish head. Raisins and caramel and grapes with some herbs. Slightly sticky, sweet and of course bitter.

On tap! Amber, bit of white foam. Definitely feels like an IPA, has a strong fruity malt body, some caramel even - and lots of fruity hops, ripe fruits. Tastes also mainly fruity and a bit sweet, hops are also there creating some balance. One thing I am not getting AT ALL is coffee. Where did it go? Very enjoyable as a nicely balanced and sweet-malty DIPA, but really was hoping for some stronger coffee notes. Or reading the description again, maybe there actually shouldn’t be any coffee??
