COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2013 Bottle, 22oz. An unclear, golden-orange colored beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. Some lacings. Pleasant orangey and piney aroma leaving little room for the aroma. Bitter flavor with some pale malts. Pine cones, orange peel and citrus. Lasting finish. Well, it’s certinaly a nice DIPA, but still not there up with the best. 130803

Chill haze on the golden orange pour. Small white head and nice lacing. Bright grapefruit, orange, and tangerine aroma. Plenty of resinous pine, mild grass, and plenty of pineapple. Really nice pineapple flavor to go along with the grapefruit, tangerine, and oranges. Intense pine flavor and a strong bitterness on the finish. Surprisingly dry with just a bit of caramel flavor.

Tap (One Pint, Helsinki)
Sweet mashy DIPA aroma, fruity, citrussy, piney, a bit in-ya-face. Taste kinda what you’d expect given the aroma, but the in-ya-face aspect is toned down appreciably. Almost lightish palate with zesty bite and carbon dioxide. Certainly a bit brash, but drinkability remarkably there. Finish a little soapy, piney, and zesty. Almost enjoyed this DIPA, that’s how good it is!

Bomber from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours orange/gold with a foamy off-white head. Strong citrus aroma. Near full bodied. Flavor is fruit, citrus, pine with a very nice caramel backdrop. Very flavorful. Heat not a problem til the gullet. Finishes arguably dry, with a lot of mixed hop flavor and that beautiful caramel. This seems to be a very well done ale.

Draft - Fresh pine with a nice sweetness. Cloudy orange with a rich head. Candy floss hops with enough sweetness to balance the bitterness. Finish is a bit of grapefruit and resin. Nice rich double IPA.

Bottle. Poured clear dark golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. A solid beer that met my expectations for this brewer.
