Draft... Pours clear and brilliantly copper with a small, white head. The aroma is a collection of caramel, peppery and citrusy hops, and a light note of yeast-driven spiciness. Medium-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is toasty, spicy and moderately bitter. Finishes crisp with lingering bitterness. rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 9, 2015
Draught at the Bear Republic, Healdsburg, CA.baraciisch (3338) - California, USA - FEB 19, 2015
Cloudy dark copper colour with a mid-size foamy off-white head.
Sweet fruity hops, mild yeast and sweet malt in the aroma. Balanced and smooth. The flavour is dry hops, mild sweetness, mild yeasty notes and some malt. Tasty and balanced.
Tan orange in color... Aroma of candi sugar, Belgian malts, light hops... Flavor is Belgian malts, light citrus hops, hints of yeast... Nice Ferris (16283) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
Draft - Stone fruit, light yeasty esters and some pepper notes. Cloudy orange with a decent white. Stone fruit, old hops and a dry finish. Fruity, lightly sweet and light bitterness. mcberko (18572) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
On tap at Apex, pours an opaque amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is sharp, with notes of Belgian yeast, earthy notes, and feet - not much in the hop department. Flavour is well-balanced, bringing out Belgian yeast, light candied sugar and floral hops. Decently cohesive, though a bit messy. Decent, but not up to Bear Republic’s usual standard.

Tap at brewpub. A dark golden orange color with white head. A nice mix of Belgian flavor son a solid hop base with the solid malt foundation. PartyFowle (954) - - DEC 10, 2014
Tulip. Hazy copper hue with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is an interesting blend: sharp lemon peel and grapefruit juice, earth and honey with attending black pepper phenols and a touch of pear. Malta emerge more in the flavor with notes of biscuits, caramel and honey. A splash of tangerine hop flavor bites the tongue while clove and pepper yeast notes swirl. About as good as a Belgian IPA can get -- a very nice balance of Trappist yeast and sharp American hops. Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 8, 2014
Copper pour with a nice head that turned into nice lacing. Floral, tropical fruits, pine, caramel, citrus. Sweet, medium to full body, floral, citrus acidic, well balanced. A bit sweet for me but nice. Seems higher alcohol % than is. OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - NOV 30, 2014
Point st Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Fruity perfumey orange pineapple, clove. Hazed brownish orange color, good head, little lace. Sweet bitter flavor. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, dry finish. It’s nice, real strong perfume scent. Flavour more grapefruit and clove, mouthfeel is odd to me. Kind of oily, clinging. It’s good in the scheme of things, but I don’t want more either. NikkTwist (3304) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Draft at Khyber Pass. Hazy medium copper pour with a small white head that left good splashes of lace. Somewhat bracing strong Belgium Ale with a good amount of hops. Strong murky dark citrus flavors. Hoppy blood oranges. Feels a bit syrupy. Medium-dark caramel malt flavors. Tootsie Roll. Mostly an over the top heady citrusy spicy brew. Seems higher than the listed 7.3% ABV brew. Good but not subtle.
