COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A custom blend of the beers of Bear Republic, Cuvee de Bubba is refermented in oak wine barrels using only the wild micro flora and fauna native to the Alexander Valley. A bouquet of stone fruits with a complex flavor profile of malt, tobacco, and cherry pie sourness.

Cuvee de Bubba won a Silver medal at the 2012 Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer in the Wild Acidic Beer category.

On tap at Champps in Brookfield. Amber pour, beige head. Aroma has big funk, raspberry, sour cherry. Classic sour/wild nose.Taste is funky, oak, sour fruits. Some sweet tarts. Sweeter and less funky than the nose. Less than medium bodied, the blend is good. Some alcohol. Finishes funky sour. Solid example of style. 14

Dragit at Stone Liberty Station, San Diego. Clear copper/amber beer with a nice offwhite head. Sour vinous aroma, woody, oak, raisins, caramel, some grapefruit. Sourish vinous woody flavor, grapes, raisins, oak, some red wine. Solid one.

Pours amber brown with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is woody, earthy, cherry and pear. Taste is more sour than tart. Light bodied, light carbonation and sticky on the finish.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours hazy coppery toward brown with tan head. Nose was tart dark fruit oak. Notes of cherry, berry, fig, oak, and lactic acidity in the flavor. Tart finish with great mouthfeel.

Black plums. Currants. Tangerines. Cocoa beans. Mulberries. Nice earthy edge. Truffles. Autumn leaves. Deeper than the name might indicate.
