A custom blend of the beers of Bear Republic, Cuvee de Bubba is refermented in oak wine barrels using only the wild micro flora and fauna native to the Alexander Valley. A bouquet of stone fruits with a complex flavor profile of malt, tobacco, and cherry pie sourness.

Cuvee de Bubba won a Silver medal at the 2012 Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer in the Wild Acidic Beer category.

Draft at Beachwood. Brown pour. Aroma of tart, vanilla, oak and ripe sour fruit. Taste of vinous oak, tart, lacto, fresh ripe fruit, white wine and vanilla. Great ba sour.

Draft at Blind Tiger, thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy deep red - ruby with a decent off-white head. The nose is soft, red fruits, tart berry, raspberry pip, granny smith apple, funk and jam. The taste is crisp, tart, jammy red fruit, berry, light acidity, lemon, green apple, earthy, funk and soapy lemon with a dry, citrusy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Reasonable sour.

Draft at fireworks leesburg. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Leaves a fair amount of lacing in the glass. There's a lot of the red wine barrel influence on the nose and tongue. A bit of tartness on the tongue as well but not as pronounced as the wine. Finished clean. Solid but not spectacular. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Tørst. Pours a hazed brown amber with a thin white head. Wood and acid, soft sweet fruit. Medium bodied, sweet malt, chewy wheat, soft sweetness. Malt, sweet and fruity, funky.

Draft - Soured and funky malts. Some Woody notes and plum. Deep clear copper with a decent white head. Soured dark malts and some really odd notes that make it unpleasant.

On tap at The Beer Mongers. Pours a cloudy alber with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is oak and brett. Thin mouthfeel, tart, vinegar, cheese, odd.

30 May 2015, tap at Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival. Light Amber. Nose is lots of Brett, slightly sweet, maybe some balsamic. Very barnyardy, actually reminded me of a horse stall hay. Tart, some smarties candy, dry white wine finish. Really good!

Tap at Churchill’s Pub. Pours lightly hazy orange with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy Brettanomyces, phenols and light pear esters, pale malt and earthy hops. Flavor is earthy, barnyard, and funky Brettanomyces, phenols, light earthy hops, moderate bitterness, some citrus pith, pale malt and a dry finish. Light body and carbonation.

>> Wet hop version. Murky amber pour, no foam, Nose is spicy cedar, dried lemon peel. Taste is overly dry, tea, spiced orange peel, potpourri, saltwater, mild acetic. Lighter palate. So sort of an amber/fall sour.
