Draught at Brouwer’s Café, Seattlemcberko (18930) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 15, 2012
Amber color, small creamy head. Wonderful aroma of caramel and toffee, sweet, with moderate fruity presence, light cheesy yeast. Also the flavor is impressive, very strong caramel and malt and toffee, with a good body structure, and avoiding the chewy and heavy character of crystal malt; powerful hopping of course, carrying loads of soft resins and fruity character; needless to say, the final is infinite, still balanced.
One of the best, most powerful, fresh Imperial IPAs in a long time.
On tap at Brouwer’s Café, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of resinous hops and sweet caramel malts, seems on the sugary side. Flavour is highly resinous hop-heavy, loads of sweet caramel malt that become a bit too overpowering, leaving a medium astringency, with a cloying sweetness. Surprisingly inferior to the regular Apex. BeerandBlues2 (13806) - Escondido, California, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Tap at Falling Rock. Pours hazy copper with a medium, frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is resin, floral, pine, and citrus hops, biscuit and meal malt, and fruity esters (apple, pear). Flavor is moderate hops, heavy bitterness, malt backbone and a dry finish. Full-medium body, moderate carbonation. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUL 18, 2012
(Draught) Pours a clear orange body with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, orange, bread, and grass. Flavor of grass, pine, caramel, and citrus with a bittersweet finish. olio (10546) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 13, 2012

Pours clear amber color with medium head. Aroma of fruits, caramel, toffee, hops and hay. Flavour of hoppy fruits, mild caramel and hay. Very nice.
On tap at Belmont. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A big fruity nose with super sweet candied fruit especially. The flavor is resin, really a triple IPA in many ways, sugary, huge late additions, low bitterness, candied oranges. Very good, smooth. BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 29, 2012
On tap. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a medium sized white head. Aromas are of tangerine, dank, and resiny hops. Sticky alcohol, tamarind, medium caramel, citrus pith and grapefruit. Flavors are big and sticky with too much caramel for my taste in hoppy beers. Tangerine, alcohol, big and boozy. Low bubbles, big and sticky! PhillyCraft (7908) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2012
On tap, pours a lightly hazed golden colot, medium white head, good lace. Aromas of light bread, faint hops, overall a very weak aroma. Taste is ultra bitter, caramel sweetness dominates. Way too sugary and malty. Big miss considering this was apparently rare and only at 5 bars in the county. AmEricanbrew (6954) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 18, 2012

25July2012. Hazy amber color with ivory sheen. Nice floral, tropical fruit, caramel aromas. medium body with average co2. Sweet caramel, pale malt flavors with bitter grapefruit, alcohol to balance--too heavy and boozy really---decent
Tap. Pours mostly clear amber with average, creamy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is grassy and dank hops, caramel and cereal malt, figs, dates, and brown sugar. Flavor is hops forward (medium bitterness) with supporting sweet malt and faint fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with high warmth.
