Tap at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Grassy nose, light lemony notes. Very fine seltzer-like carbonation. Minerally finish but kind of watery. Not really a lot going on, just too watery and overly carbonated.

oobawa (1575) - Tennessee, USA - SEP 11, 2017
Rather weak pils, overly fruity and sweet with a light noble bite and a bready, muddled finish. Lots of apple esters and cereal grains, far more than expected, and the floral bitterness on the back end never overtakes the growing yeastiness that closes out the pint. Fades tangy and dirty, lacking the needed bright, grassy pilsner notes you want. Bready nose, and the pour comes out okay, a bold, clear yellow-gold but lacking in head or lace. Good bubbly pils feel, but otherwise not a good take on the style.

Clear straw yellow pour with aroma of citrus, grain, and corn. Citrus flavor with grain and some corn. Pretty decent.

Pale gold and clear appearance with an average white head. Mild aroma of pilsner malts, noble hops and a touch of herbs and spice. Similar flavor, crisp, mild spicy bitterness and light malty sweetness. Easy to drink with a refreshing finish.

wlajwl (6940) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 12, 2017
Aroma is spicy German hops and very doughy. The flavor is citrus, malts/pale malts and a berry/spicy hop finish.

Suttree (6466) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 11, 2017
Yellow, slightly hazy, with no head to speak of. Smells like corn and grassy notes, Taste is lightly sweet, with some corn and pine notes. Smooth, lightly viscous palate.

Despite the low ratings here (lager bias?) I think this is pretty great. First I love hallertauer, and this one has a really great hallertauer nose (although the cattiness bit made me think saaz for a second). Dry and light, crisp, as it should be. Perhaps slightly under-hopped at the finish, so it could use just a bit of a bitter thump. Pretty solid though.

12floz bottle, BBD: 12.05.2017, $1.50 unit cost, pint glass. Golden straw in color, and is traditional grainy aroma and taste, I like it.

Light malty grass aroma. Healthy white head with fine bubbles, Yellow body with a hint of a haze. Mild grainy malt taste with a smooth mouth feel complimented by the lively carbonation.

12 oz. bottle bb 08/27/2017. Clear pale golden with a film of beady bubbles. Nose of toasted maize, honey and crisp lemon/grassy hops. Flavor is the same mix. Light-plus body has almost medium fizz and an easy drinking balance with a drying finish. Nice example of the style.
