This just won a bronze medal at the GABF and I was anxious to see how good it really was. So I got a pint of this at the Bear Republic Brewpub in Healdsburg on my trip through there yesterday.
The pour was a clear gold color with a small white head typical of a pub pour, and very sticky lacing
The nose is very crisp with malts and grassy hops leaping out to greet you. The mouthfeel is about as clean and smooth as a beer can get, and the flavor shows caramel malts, nice complex hops with citrus, flowers, and some banana.
The finish on the beer is remarkable, with a light bitterness that lingers. This is a remarkable beer, and while in a way it reminds me of Pilsner Urquel it is superior in every way, which is probably why it won a medal. Seems to me to be about as perfect as a pilsener can get.

Bottle. Nose is strongly grassy and full of bright hopcit. Pour bright yellow-golden, clear with abundant carbonation and a large, sudsy bright white head; the thing really, really glows if backlit. Taste is clean, lightly grainy, good medium hoppiness with low bitterness that is accentuated by relative dryness; firm high mineral content, crisp but with smooth soapy feel and very soft malt, sunshine with streak of lemony citrus. Hay bale, dried grass, streak of dirt. Though the bitterness is so low (this is really more of a dry Helles than a tame Pilsner), the hopping lends it really natural, outdoorsy overtones. Balanced and level, and again, soft medium body and supremely drinkable, kudos for this one! [2017.02.05: 4.0] Cavie (4654) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAY 20, 2016
Tap at Pouring Glory. Light straw color. Light head. Light floral hops. Touch of grassy spice. Dry grain flavor. Definite bitterness. Light fruity finish. Nice.

This is a very nice simple pilsner. Not overly dry, it a has a solid crispness to it and a simple but tasty flavor. Could drink a lot of these. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Poured up on tap at the Tempe Mellow. It has a pale straw slightly hazy body that supports a fairly tight near white head. The aroma offers up grainy malts, a dash of lemon and then some faint sour mash notes mixed with Pilsner malts. The taste has some fresh fairly crisp yet nearly vague hoppy notes that have a slight lemon to lime citrus edge to them. It gets into some sweet to grainy malts to midway and into the finish along with faint Pilsner malts. Nice hot weather brew.

(Un échantillon au Stone 19th Anniversary): Levuré, machable, gazonné et suintant d’agrumes pales. Belle exécution, grande buvabilité. DavidWoodruff (601) - Windsor, California, USA - APR 4, 2017
Golden with a little haze and a small white head. Yeasty, bready aroma. Nice round, soft malt flavor with perhaps too little hop bitterness for a Pilsner. Much more of a Munich Helles or Export. Delicious! beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - MAR 22, 2013
I really enjoyed this sample. Pours a light yellow. Very crisp and clean. Hop notes jump out but then fade into the background leaving a nice little cereal taste. Yet another good pils with a bad rap on RateBeer pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - JUL 20, 2014
On draught at 2014 LagerFest. Crisp light golden color. Aroma is caramel apple, grass, and biscuit. Taste is crisp apple, biscuit, and light caramel. Refreshing and clean. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - SEP 13, 2009
Draught at the Bear. I’ll admit that pickings were slim as they looked to be making space for their gabf roll out next week, but this was a nice pils. Gold with a small head. Bready malt and grainy aroma with just a touch of floral hops. Clean and dry flavor with moderate pale malt, a touch of spicy hops, and medium bitterness in the finish. Light and crisp. Satisfying.
