Pours slightly hazy, golden amber. Nice complex hoppy aroma, hints of malt and spice. Flavor is outstanding - big malt base adds body and complexity to a complex hop mixture of resin and citrus and fruit; hints of caramel malt sweetness on behind a crisp, hop forward presence. Great juicy mouthfeel. Overall, this one is in the top of the APA list. gunnar (9094) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUL 19, 2017

DATE: July 7, 2017... OCCASION: watching Indiana Jones with the boys for the first time--a truly memorable night... GLASSWARE: Stoudt’s signed pint.. pours a dark, cloudy amber with a brisk, white, foamy head that creams its lace neatly around its rim... head retention is resilient... a glorious bouquet of grapefruit, mango, apple, and a nice balance of bread malts make for an alluring pale ale... effervescent, lively, and easily drinkable... at 6% ABV, reasonably weighted.... medium-bodied, creamy, and a trigger for each successive sip... the grapefruit and mango set this squarely in the West Coast, while the herbal and earthy natures combine to build a profile that rivals the growing number of great pale ales out there... caramel and dough malts leave the aftertaste formidable and memorable... that flavor diversity may set it apart from other pales... another quality brew from Bear Republic...

14/20 really lemony citrus against a strong malt backbone, quite an aggressive taste in a good way, doesn't have that straw taste some pale ales have.

Hazy orange colour, small steady white head, Aroma has apricot and some citrus. Light to medium-bodied. Front has grapefruit, then sweetish fruityness and citrus. Lingering fruity bitterness in the aftertaste. Could be a bit more fresh for its full potential.
Pours a cloudy, amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is floral and pine hops. Flavor is mostly the floral hops. Hops are stronger on the aroma. Resiny finish with coriander. gripweed57 (2461) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 7, 2017
12 ounce bottle. Hazy Amber orange color is topped by a frothy beige head. Rich malty nose hints at caramel. Tangy toasted malt flavor. Highly carbonated. Sweet fruity notes. Citrusy hops. Good balance.
