On tap at Rubicon for cask night! (From notes) Aroma is slightly hoppy. Flavour is fruity. Good bitterness and malt balance. good lacing on the glass. I noticed it was slightly minty.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk at home. Deep gold, looks a tiny bit hazy. Lots of visible carbonation and a big white head. Pineapple, apricot and lemon biscuit in the aroma. Lovely bitter taste, almost too bitter but it pulls back at the right moment for a balanced finish. Fresh nectarine in the aftertaste. Slick body, not over-carbonated. Delightful.

6%ABV. IPA. Poured out deep gold. 10SRM. Nose is sweet and pine-y coming across as sappy with the faint aroma of curing epoxy. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has sweet malt with wheat toast, toasted grahams and hint of honey. Hops woody, spicy with cilantro, strong on citrus peel and seed flavor with the bite of citrus oil. Finish is long with citrus oil flavor and pine bitter.

Golden color out of the bottle with a foamy white head. Citrus hop nose. Clean dry malty backbone with some cracker and bread crust. Lots of bitter citrus rind and an earthy, pine finish. Straight up pale ale

This is a great pale save for one thing: I dont like the hop profile. I mean dammit its near perfect in its construct, clean dry malts with a solid hop presence, pretty balanced, semi-dry finish, everything a good pale ale ought to be, but that citrus hop also features a woody/herbal element that I often find in cascades and beers like Fat Tire that are a real turnoff. So yea some serious mixed feelings on this. Purely subjective of course, but thats what ratebeer is all about wub a dub dub

Fizzed over on opening which wasted a little which is a shame as this is lovely. Heavy sediment in the bottle and pours a deep golden orange colour. The orange flavour is present, quite strong actually. The hops arent overpowering and its very drinkable. A great APA!

Bottle. Orangy coloured beer with a strong white head. The aroma is well hopped, and the flavour is hopped and bitter with a decent length of finish. Overall a nice American pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy orange amber colour lasting cream coloured head. Pine resin hop aroma. Malts are ok solid enough not too sweet or over the top. Good orangey hops on the finish. I thought a rather good hoppy fruity American Pale Ale. Some bitterness. Tangerine flavours. A little perfume hop. Good.

Pretty close to a perfect APA, this is light enough but with a strong fruit and hop character. Truly delicious.
