Bottle from Ales By Mail, enjoyed at Åserød after a long hike. Pours hazy deep golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma of fresh crisp citrus, lovely and inviting fresh fruity.Taste is crisp fresh citrus perfectly balanced by a good malty body, exceptional from start till finish. Dry clean mouthfeel, lingering dry oranges, Kernelish actually.

Dacrza (975) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2017
DATE: July 7, 2017... OCCASION: watching Indiana Jones with the boys for the first time--a truly memorable night... GLASSWARE: Stoudt’s signed pint.. pours a dark, cloudy amber with a brisk, white, foamy head that creams its lace neatly around its rim... head retention is resilient... a glorious bouquet of grapefruit, mango, apple, and a nice balance of bread malts make for an alluring pale ale... effervescent, lively, and easily drinkable... at 6% ABV, reasonably weighted.... medium-bodied, creamy, and a trigger for each successive sip... the grapefruit and mango set this squarely in the West Coast, while the herbal and earthy natures combine to build a profile that rivals the growing number of great pale ales out there... caramel and dough malts leave the aftertaste formidable and memorable... that flavor diversity may set it apart from other pales... another quality brew from Bear Republic...

14/20 really lemony citrus against a strong malt backbone, quite an aggressive taste in a good way, doesn't have that straw taste some pale ales have. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
