From 75 cL bottle. Pours filtered orange with creamy white head. Strong aroma hops with a base of malts. Taste is strongly hoppy and rounded off with malts. Good balance. Ends very bitter long into the finish. Ungstrup (38154) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2004
A hazy red beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is a great hop aroma with notes of caramel and alcohol. The flavor is also a great powerful hop flavor, very acidic, leading up to a dry end. It is just a bit too acidic hoppy for my taste, but still a very nice beer. joergen (28772) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 17, 2007

Bottled (from Ales By Mail). Deep amber colour with a mediumsized foamy/creamy white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel, mild sweet malts along with big time tropical fruits, some grass and floral notes. Flavour is honey, some tropical fruits, grass, floral notes and quite sweet malts as well. Mild spicyness as well. Long fruity and floral bitter aftertaste. Balanced, and very drinkable. Travlr (25558) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 16, 2010
Clear brown color with a large tan head. Aroma of rye bread (no kidding) and earthy malts. Flavor begins with malt, hops come in half way through, and rye bread returns in the finish. Interesting. cgarvieuk (25391) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 5, 2009
Bottle at DLD 09 ... Copper ... sweet tofeee malt nose ... little roast ... quite a lot of toffeee ... light hop. omhper (25380) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2004
Bottled. Clear mahogany appearance, creamy head. Grapefruity aroma. Dominated by hops, but there’s plenty of soft, rich maltiness there as well. Lingering salty, very bitter finish. When it comes to malt character Bear Republic is one of my favourite American breweries! madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2011

Hazy brown beer with a reasonable biscuit coloured head. A dry palate but not overdone. Flavour is a lovely mix of rye aromatics and spice and piney citrus hops that also have a sweet note. Finishes on the sweet hop note. Very well joined up beer.
