Nice clean west coast IPA aroma. Good hop bite with a balancing sweetness in the aftertaste. Thick, silky and adequately carbonated palate. Bear Republic is a juggernaut at making IPAs.

Heavy-duty rye IPA, with a massive hop load and a long-lasting spicy rye finish. Mango, peach, and orange come from the hops, while mild biscuit malts provide modest padding for the blast of pine on the back end. Huge pine-dank nose with hints of wheat and citrus. Creamy texture makes this pint way too easy to put back. Good beer. stevoj (5425) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 2, 2017
Draft at the Yard House. Hazy golden pour, small skin of head, rings of lacing. Big, full hoppy aroma, fruity and dank. Taste is malty first, then eclipsed by a wave of dank , earthy hops. Complex finish, but it’s all there and recognizable. Worthy of it’s rep. ABUSEDGOAT (2818) - California, USA - JUN 29, 2017
Cloudy golden color with floaties and a white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, peach, some caramel. Medium bodied, big bitterness, peach flavor dominates with some caramel. A surprise to be sure, but a pleasant one. hman43 (1747) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUN 21, 2017
It pours golden and clear with a white head. Head retention is moderate. The aromas are highlighted by citrus up front with tropical fruit and mango. Other aromas include low levels of rye. The flavors are highlighted by rye, tropical fruit, mango, and citrus. There are low levels of bread and very low levels of wheat in the background. The texture is smooth with a moderate body. The bitterness his high with a finish that is long lasting. Overall, this is a hop forward beer with a nice background support from the rye to give it a complex flavor.

Draft at Yardhouse. I usually love Bear Republic beers. This one is light orange-amber. It doesn’t have a head to speak of, but is well laced. It’s super juicy-citrusy, almost like a lemon soda or flat-out orange juice. It’s a bit too off kilter for me. I’m looking for Annette Funnicello in an OJ commercial. Gold, mostly clear but lots of floaties. Ginormous, pillowy white foam. Smells like pot, resin, and some subtle bready, caramel notes. Definitely a hop forward beer, and not a lot of sweetness. Green, fresh hops and a dry, crisp finish. Nice. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2017
Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours clear golden with fluffy, white head. Nose is perfumy florals, mango, tangerine, honeydew, resiny hops. Tastes resiny hoppy, with heavy notes of mango, honeydew, pineapple, florals. Solid IPA. luttonm (6634) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Chuck’s 85th, Seattle. White cream head, lightly clouded orange/darker gold body. Fruity apple aroma, green hops. Some bitterness on sip, resin forward hops, rather heavy and old school. Fruity, heavy hop. Lightly spiced, complex malt base. Plenty of cider flavors. Tasty, old school bitter double IPA. Nice beer. Nuffield (4189) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Hazy golden, decent head. Bear Republic is a favorite of Jazz88’s, but rather than Racer 5, he went with Hop Shovel. It has a plentiful citrus aroma and expected vibrant flavors. Solid body. Decent. Bottle.
