This pale and hoppy IPA was brewed with a high proportion of wheat and rye for a smooth, well rounded flavor and mouth feel. New hop varieties Mosaic and Meridain provide a uniquely American and modern hop flavor and aroma.

Good smelling IPA. The taste is fairly typical. Could use more alcohol, IMO ( obviously).

Pours a clear, copper-gold, with minimal head. Aroma is a bit soapy, with some hops and citrus. Flavor is very bitter, with the pine/spruce elements of the hops predominating. Could use a bit more balance perhaps. Bitter finish and aftertaste.

Sampled from the tap at ABR 2016. Porus a hazy yellow orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy citrus, light pine and touches of onion and grain. Flavor has notes of citrus, light pine, grass and a grain backbone.

Sample at Studio 35 as part of the Princess Bride movie and beer tasting on 2/19/17. Clear amber pour with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, rye and citrus hop. Malt and grapefruit flavor with candied orange character before a piney hop finish.

Pours a nice clear copper with plenty of white, pillowy head and great scattered lacing. Aroma is super fresh and bright with the Mosaic front and center. Even better than some single-hop Mosaics I’ve had, as the Meridian and Denali hops provide some extra nuance. This beer smells amazing. Taste is tropical fruits at first - pineapple and mango - quickly yielding to the Mosaic tang that the aroma hinted at. This combines well with the transition to a sticky, resinous, bitter finish that dries out superbly. The finish is dry, but mellow, leading to a very short recovery period between sips. I had to exercise will power to make this beer last more than a few minutes. The finish sits pretty well with mouth-coating stickiness. Really well-done. Summary: Wheat, Rye and Mosaic hops in perfect balance.

Tap at SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pours clear golden. Aroma: Malty but also pines, forest, resin, grass. Medium body, low sweetness, very bitter late, more forest and resin, residual sweetness. Drier than expected. Good

Pours hazy citrus with a low white head. Aromas of citrus, peach, apricot, resin, grass, pine, mango. Taste is very fruity and quite bitter with some floral and grassy notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - FEB 8, 2017
Pours a cloudy yellow color with a decent floral aroma. Taste is pine, and citrus with a hop flavor. Surprising rye taste with a good bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall a good IPA that was easy drinking with some substance.

Good. Hoppy. Nice bitterness from the 100 ibu’s but just a touch of booze from lack of a heavier malt base.
