From a bottle. Pours golden with a frothy head that dissipates to a one-inch rocky head. Good retention. Nice aromas of pine and citrus, but also biscuit, caramel and herbal tones. Upfront flavors of butterscotch, herbs, leather and grapefruit. Finishes with a hint dried apricot, citrus and some resiny notes that are less than pleasing. Noticeably higher alcohol content. There are some significant herbal flavors in this beer that don’t seem to work too well. I was expecting a traditional IPA, but this is maltier and not as strongly hopped. Creamy mouthfeel that leaves a syrupy coating on the tongue. Not your typical IPA, and not the best IPA I’ve had. Not a bad beer, but it’s almost as if this beer can’t decide what it’s supposed to be.

The pallet is what stands out on the beer. I get all the piney grassy hops of an ipa, but the pallet is crisp and smooth. Pretty good, nothing exceptional, but an every day ipa fo sho

Amber with a light white head. Taste of sweet caramel then a nice hoppy finish. Overall a nice IPA. Would I pay 13/6 - no

the pour is an orangish amber color with, an aroma of hops, and citrus, some floral. The taste is sweet with a floral taste to start, then goes to a bitter hop finish. The palate is smooth and refreshing, but leaves a strong bitterness taste at the back of your mouth. Again, if your a hop head, you probably would like this. I do, would recommend to hardcore hop lovers.

On draft at McG’s, I wonder why so few ratings? Not as massive as the prior taste of sly fox, but still a standard IPA. Nice hazy look to this, a bit pale, thick head. Standard grapefruit and pine.

Had is on tap at Bobbique with my friend Chapel. This beer was pretty decent. Maybe not the best for IPAs, but overall a good beer.

Tap at Bobbique. Not very IPAish, but the hops are present enough to count. I am no hop head, but this could have done with a little more just to add more definition to the flavor. It was otherwise a tad watery.
