This traditional Oktoberfest beer is brewed to be enjoyed throughout the fall. Big malt character is balanced by noble hops and a dry finish. Prost!

Pours a slightly hazy dark copper color with ruby red edges and a one finger off-white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks of lace left behind. Floral, earthy hop aroma with a surprisingly strong malt backbone. Grassy with subtle pine needle character countered by a strong caramel malt presence as well as some toffee and biscuit. On the fuller end of medium bodied with a stronger hop presence than the aroma suggests. Still has a very strong malt profile which dominates the flavor. Really surprising coming from this brewery. Slightly dank and sticky but the hop flavor is a touch one dimensional and is overpowered by sweet and slightly roasted malt notes. Grassy and floral with some dry bitterness countered by prominent caramel malt flavor, toast, toffee and biscuit. The ABV is well masked making it easy to drink but it’s a bit bland for my liking.

Draft - Bready malts with a bit of caramel. Light clear amber with a thin white head. Caramel, spice and a bit of bread. Spice is nice and the bread is in check.

On tap at Bear Republic, pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavour are pretty restrained, with toasted malt, caramel, and German yeast. Pretty basic lager, but brewed well. Boring, but decent.
