This traditional Oktoberfest beer is brewed to be enjoyed throughout the fall. Big malt character is balanced by noble hops and a dry finish. Prost!

On tap at Papago; poured an orange color with not much head. Aroma of caramel, orange, earth and bread. Flavor was quite good for style; hoppy and balanced.

Draught. Poured medium red brown with moderate head. Light pleasant malty flavour. Medium body. Malty finish with a hop edge.

illidurit (2327) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 22, 2009
On tap at 515 in Santa Cruz. Clear amber pour with a nice fluffy khaki head. Nice malty and grainy aroma, grains and biscuits with a grassy spicy hop profile. Flavor is bready malts, toasted grains, and caramel with a lightly citric and grassy hoppiness that takes over in the finish. A very full-flavored, well-balanced lager. Super drinkable.

Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 25, 2009
Serving: Draft. Appearance: Slightly cloudy, deep amber color with a foamy, off-white head. Aroma: Spicy hops, earthy nose with a slight vegetal note. Flavor: Rich and malty with slight vegetal notes. A bit on the sweet side. Light back bitterness. Palate: Medium-low carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium, bitter finish. Overall: This one could use a little bit more refinement, but it is not too bad.

Location: Tap at RFDs Late Nov or Early Dec ’08

Overall Impression: Solid Octoberfest style beer, not necessarily a style with lots of range but this one gets the job done.

2.8
JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JAN 29, 2009
On tap at the brewery, I got this as part of a sampler set. Dark yellow/orange in color w/ a bit of a malty flavor.
