Aroma: Resiny/citrus hops and caramel on the nose
Appearance: Clear caramel-orange color with a thin, lasting white head
Flavor: Taste is fairly hoppy with a nice malt presence as well
Palate: The body is light-medium with average (plus) carbonation
This beer is solid. I like it, a nice, flavorful beer. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried this one before, but I had never rated it prior to yesterday’s sampling.

Tap @ Migration... Poured amber/red with a white head. Floral nose with hops and a subtle grain bill. Soft palate, easy drinking with sweet malts, caramel, butterscotch and still a good kick of hops.

On draft at Bear Republic (Healdsburg, CA): Pours a rich, clear golden copper color and topped with thin white lacing. Moderate hops (resin, pine, floral) in the aroma, along with rye, toasted seven-grain bready malts, pale malts, and molasses. Tastes of bitter hops, resin, caramel malt, and some light fruit tones.. Somewhat metallic which definitely throws off the balance a bit. Drinkabillity: Fresh, simple, drinkable. Pairing: Roast chicken or pork, curry. Rebuy: Yes. #361 on 31032010, DG.

On tap at Vintage. Pours a darkish amber with a little bit of head and aromas that can best be described as soapy with a little bit of grass and citrus. Flavor is pretty soapy and comes across to me as watery with a grassy and grapefruity finish. On tap at the Other Side Cafe, Boston, 15 October 2009. Copper colour. Described as a bitter but more of an American feel than English. Good grassy hops throughout. Some clean malt, with a nutty touch. Nice balance and very drinkable. One of those beers that doesn’t scream out at you but hits the spot just right.

Tap @ SD Taproom. Pours a lightly hazed copper color with a frothy off white head leaving some nice lacing. Nice hoppy nose with citrus peel, resin, and cereal grain. Flavor was also quite hoppy with a medium bitter finsh. A greatt ESB.
