Copper pour with a nice white head. Lots of dark fruit on the nose. Caramel, sherry, brown sugar, and oxidation. Some apple, dates, raisins, and a hint of alcohol. Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent copper with a white head. Aroma is fruit/spice. Full bodied. Flavor is amazing. Fruit. Decent caramel. Light vanilla. Hints of spice. Heat is barely detectable. It is lightly sweet. It is very flavorful. Everything is well blended - hard to dissect. Lovely.

On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest poured a clear copper with a minimal lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness and a hint of spice. Sample at Rattle N Hum. This brew pours a muddy orange color with a medium frothy white head that recedes gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, pine and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, malt and fruit. The finish is malty up front with a lingering piney aftertaste. Above average overall.
