From the Columbus gathering, brought by Sliffy. Orange color with a light tan head. The aroma was grassy with some fruit, pine , sweet malt and alchohol. The flavor had a good amount of balance though a bit metalic at times. The hops came through in the front and then creep back in the finish...though the finish was a bit thin. Pretty decent brew overall.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Bottle nestled among a shelf full of great west coast brews (Stone, Alesmith...) at BevMo in Pasadena, CA. Mildly hazy burnt orange pour with a tall off white head and plenty of lacing. Pine, grapefruit and hops bound from the glass to the nose. Full-bodied resiny, piney grapefruit flavors surrounding a solid malt center. Creamy mouthfeel and a snappy bitter finish. Another great and well-crafted west coast hop bomb!

Bottle thanks to santa: Pours an orange color with a light tan head. Aroma of pine and citrus, a little resinous and earthy. Flavor, not nearly as intense as the aroma suggests, citrusy, very west coast in style. Not much in the way of a malt presence, but a little sweetness came through on the finish. Pretty damn good though.

12oz bottle-Amber in color with a white head with an aroma of hops. Taste again of hops and more hops. A great IPA.

Columbus gathering beer#3. Brought by Sliffy. Aroma of strong pungent hops. There was a little alcohol burn at the back of the tongue after a long and deep sniff. Was very light on the tongue but still smooth. Needed a little more flavor hops, aroma hops overpowered.

22oz bottle pours clear golden/orange with a nice white lasting head. Wonderful aromas of citrus, pine and grapefruit from the hops with a touch of carmel malt. Big bitterness that mellows nicely with the malts and finishes with more hops and a hint of alcohol. Overall a beautiful IPA that has it all from the aroma to the flavor. Cant wait to rate it on draft.

Very nice hoppy IPA. Smallish white head and a great copper color. Citrus, fruit, and pine in the flavor - a really nice IPA that I didnt expect.

Pours with a surpisingly large white head. Strong hops flavor but feels a bit smoother than some of the other top IPAs. Interesting and very good.

22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with huge bubbles, tons of fizz, and a nice head. A powerful aroma of cascade hops, carmel notes, and citrus. This medium bodied beer hits your palate with floral tastes intertwined with grapefruit. A bit astringent, but a nice hoppy bitterness that hangs around after the party.
