22oz: Copper color. Great head and lace. Huge aromatic lift. Gwerz like. Spice, floral, musk, Turkish delete. Intense but bright. Big rich balata. Balanced bitterness. Hops lead but malt plays a strong part.
This is an awesome beer. One of my favorites at the moment.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle.
Lightly hazy, golden orange with a 3-finger, billowing off-white head and excellent lacing. A real looker, this one.
Aroma of pine, citrus, tropical and other fruit and sweet bready malt.
Taste of nectarine, pine, tropical fruit, citrus and sweet malt.
A medium/full body and medium/high carbonation yields a smooth, rich mouthfeel.
Maybe it's all that sweet malt, but the bitterness doesn't smack you in the face. There is plenty of hop flavor, but it's well balanced. Impressive for a 100 IBU brew.

Tap pour at Muddy Waters with blonderedhead. Tulip style glass...10oz pour. Slight hazy orange and golden color. Attractive white half finger head. Great lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus with orange and tropical notes. Some pine characteristics. Taste is downright breathtaking. Big and bold hop flavors with a lean towards resin and tropical fruit. The presence of alcohol is definitely felt but is almost deceptive in its potency. There is a pleasant malty, earthy quality that helps provide exquisite balance. An impressive older brother to Racer 5. Check this one out when available.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a clear earthy orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has strong pine with a bit of citrus and an earthy grain and biscuit backbone. Flavor has earthy pine and grass notes backed by earthy biscuit. kespecial (252) - - DEC 18, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2016 Fairly classic DIPA in look and nose, dank, medium orange, thin white head, very resiny and bitter. Pine, weed, simple syrup. Tastes far boozier than 8.3, I think to its detriment. Overall effect is unbalanced, a bit soapy and astringent, too sweet/boozy to be wierdly cloying despite all the bitterness. It?s not bad, but a rare miss by Bear Republic IMHO. mezr (136) - California, USA - DEC 18, 2016
Poured from a bottle into a tulip. Color is a brilliant orange, slightly hazy and with a white frothy head that laces the glass excessively. Taste is nicely bitter, but not as intense as other DIPA’s. Sticky, average carbonation, and with a dry finish. Nicely done! Brewhemia (312) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 6, 2016
Slightly hazy amber beer with off white head. Sweet malty aroma of bread and lots of ripe fruits and some alcohol. Really delicious aroma. The taste is sweet with lots of ripe fruit and caramel notes and a quite bitter finish. Full body. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 25, 2016
On cask at The Pony Bar - 10th Ave. Hazy copper body with big head. Nose is hops and fruits and citrus. Taste again of lots of fruits. Quite nice. Alcy in the finish. Bitter in the finish.
