Shazaam! Killer beer. Having a tap of this very tasty beer at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin USA. Poured with a great foamy, frothy huge light tan head. Plenty of lace. Nice dark honey amber color, slightly hazy. Nice nose - plenty of hops, piney, a bit of bread and citrus. Nice mouth. Not too much carbonation. Long bitter finsih complemented by some malty sweetness. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUN 9, 2007
On tap @ Pizza Plant Walker . williamsville NY. Finally this hit WNY. Beautiful hop monster. Citrusy, piney DIPA. Relativly easy to drink. Thought the alcohol would have been stronger luckily it wasnt. Great brew hope we see more of it here toncatcher (228) - Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA - JUN 1, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2007 On tap @ Downtown Johnny Brown. Not you traditional IIPA. Pours a golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma of pine and citrus, and beieve it or not, FROOT LOOPS. Flavors of hops yes but very well balanced. Very nice GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - MAY 28, 2007
On tap at Dublin Sports Pub - Yet another great beer from the stable of Bear Republic. It seems that whatever these guys touch is gold. This DIPA is one friggin’ excellent beer. The color is a deep amber/reddish color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, high on the hop character with graperuits and pines abound. Mouthfeel is smooth, slightly thick with a light feel. Flavor is piney, yes, mostly citrus but this is a rare breed of DIPA where the hoppyness doesn’t wear down the taste buds. This seems incredibly sessionable (if a DIPA were ever to be sessionable). Good stuff! Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 27, 2007
I was expecting an imperial IPA, but this one is more malty than that. Very big hop nose. Poured an amber-brown color. Hardy and warming. Finished quite nicely. Excellent beer!

Draft @ Liar’s Club. A clear amber in the glass with a creamy white head that mostly lasts and leaves big lacing. The aroma has a lemony floral presents with a malty background. Big grapefruit and lemon flavors followed up with pine and a caramel background. Medium body and medium bitterness. Extremely nice! padrefan98 (854) - (San Diego) Santee, California, USA - MAY 13, 2007
Draft at O’briens. Poured a golden orange with a nice frothy white head. Smells of hops, citrus, pine, and fruity aromas. Nice bitter taste of grapefruit, pine, and sweet fruit balance. Very nice IPA. fordest (2470) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - MAY 12, 2007
Draft at O’Brien’s. Golden Orange color with a decent head. Lots of deep fruity hop aromas. Very sweet malty flavors with an incredible hop finish. Full mouthfeel around this citrus, fruit hop flavor filled beer. Wow incredible. jarspag (601) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 12, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2007 On Draft - fresh, crisp, hoppy, citric type tastes - nice well hidden alcohol and an overall very nice IIPA...but not anywhere near the best. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAY 4, 2007
