COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rebellion was created by Bear Republic’s brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the hop to shine.

Bright and metallic, the malt is a bit muddy and the bittering hops taste over stretched. Needs more hops added in at the end. Bitterness is dirty. This would be cool trying them side by side, but as a one off, this isn’t that exicting.

Draft at Coles in Buffalo NY. Golden orange pour. Lighter aroma of citrus orange hops. Decent bitterness in flavor, citrus, pretty well balanced. Very drinkable. Not alarmingly good but solid

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Light citrus and pine aroma. REsiny flavor with woodsiness. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Pine resin and woodsiness lingers with light green hops.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours orange with an off white head. Mildly fruity aroma. Not very aromatic. The flavor has mandarin oranges with touches of tea and grapefruit. The finish is mildly bitter.

3/10/2011 on tap @ Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn (2011-506)

Clear deep orange beer, creamy off-white head, bit stable and adhesive. MF: good carbon, medium body. Aroma: piny, grapefrui, herbal and grassy. Taste: fruity, pineapple, grapefruit, bitter hops, citrus. Aftertaste: lots of citrus, very dry ending.
