This was a nice surprise to see at the Real Ale Fest. A nice, spicy tripel. Aroma is soft spice and yeast. Orange, coriander, clove and yeast go with the nice sweetness from the sugar. Draught at brewpub. This is the 10th rating for this brew, so I get to put it on the map. Sweet, unique aroma. Indicates dessert beer qualities. Clear amber body with a white head and excellent lace. Bomber from Schultsc. Thanks for the great trade for this bottle filled in 2002!!! Pours very dark brown with a fizzy transient light tan head. Aroma is like mildly sour cola with raisin. Med body. Pretty smooth. Light heat. Dark malt, chocolate and raisin flavors. It is amazing how this has aged. It seems fresh!

2002 bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a delicious plum and chocolate aroma and a thin tan head. There is a slightly sour dark fruit flavor that has mellowed over the years, blending well with the spices and candi sugar. On tap@ O’Brien’s: Deep amber color with a medium bright white head. Flavor starts rich with tropical fruit and a touch of honey followed by a spicy hop bitterness and a light, dry citrus rind finish . Medium-full body is creamy with moderate carbonation. Draft. Clear copper color with a frothy ivory head. Spicy, phenolic nose with some warm malt and banana notes- this came as a surprise since when I ordered it the bartender told me it was an American Strong Ale. Sweet and somewhat hot.
