Sample at Rattle N Hum. Dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Campfire aroma with some malt notes. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, adhesive bandages and dark chocolate. The finish is smoky with a burnt wood aftertaste. Too over the top for me, I had trouble enjoying this one. joet (2604) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - MAR 2, 2014

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a dark brown-red color. Head was thick and tan with good retention and lacing. Attractive and unique aroma of smoked malt, chocolate, and flowery hops. Dry and roasty on the tongue with a smoky burnt stick note up front that strengthened toward the end. The accompanying roasted malt and delicate hop flavors made this a really good beer.
