On tap @ Falling Rock Taphouse, tulip. Really impressive Berliner Weisse. Fires on all cylinders. Best intensity I’ve experienced for this beer style. Huge lacto notes all over this beauty. Didn’t know Bear Republic dabbled in the sours, but I was very pleased.
On tap at the brewery. This is the tropical version. Very low carbonation, zero head. Hazy orange looks like orange juice. Tastes like pineapple juice. Im not a huge fan of berlinerwiesse but this is drinkable. Tide (3830) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 25, 2017
Draught at Bear Republic. Hazy yellow Color, white head. Sour taste with citrus, ripe fruits, tart, wheat, a bit of salt and sour apple. Sour finish with citrus, wheat, ripe fruits, earthy notes and grass. Very nice Berliner Weisse. BrewSensei54 (1) - Haiku, Hawaii, USA - MAR 28, 2017 does not count
Super sour. Tastes like fish that has been fermented. So there is no head it’s like a raw kombucha. Smells acidic. On tap at Rock & Brews Paia. Aloha sonnycheeba (5968) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 25, 2017
Tap. Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma is sharp citrus and lactic acid funk, wheat, and faint floral notes. Flavor is dry and very tart with big citrus and lactic acidity with soft wheat notes. Light body. snoworsummer (5622) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 25, 2017
Draft at Plan 9. Pours clear bright gold with no head. Tastes like tart lemon, yeast, pear, acidic, and cracker malt. Ohh body and low carbonation. Smells like yeast, cracker malt, apple cider vinegar, and tart citrus.

That is seriously tart. The sourness is in every sip of this beer, with an even more intense finsih. This might be the most intense sour beer I’ve had from start to finish, yet it keeps me sipping. Emeister84 (2479) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - FEB 8, 2017
On tap at Fardowner’s. Aromas of tart apple, under ripened pineapple, light lemon. Clear as cider, practically heasless. Very tart, very acidic. Light bodied, clean, very crisp, leaves the mouth watering. obguthr (6301) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 7, 2017
Very tart apple, vinegar, gym sock, and cumquat nose. Opaque yellow, headless. Crabapple, babyfood applesauce, very sour on the front, intensely tangy on the back. Hints of vinegar. Full body, easy carbonation. jgb9348 (6194) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2017
Ridiculously dark, brown coloured body with a glow of deep amber, some orange haze at the bottom, and absolutely no head at all. Aroma of sour apples, sour grapes, yeast, funk, grass and a bit of pure sour candy - nice. Light-bodied; Mouth-puckering sour lemon, apple and citrus flavours at first with a deep yeast and floral finish with a nice kick of apples and caster sugar near the end. Aftertaste is all about the sourness with not much malt, hardly any body, not much sweetness and absolutely no hops, the only thing that really sticks out is the yeast element and a ton of sour flavours - which is perfectly alright! Overall, a great beer with a lot of qualities that make the style so nice, with some that are unique (the look) make this a very nice beer to sample and oh so easy to drink. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 19-January-2017 for US$4,00 sampled at the end of my driveway! On tap @ Rattle N Hum as "Aged Tartare". This is a cloudy looking almost straw golden colored one with a small quickly fading white little head. Smells really good and inviting. Sourness from slammed green and yellow berries. There’s traces of wood, some sweetness also here. Raspberries? Smells really nice this. Oh, this is lemonic and drinkable as heck! It’s mild oily in the mouth and it’s below average on the carbonation. Superbly refreshing and really lightdrinkable! Sour gooseberries and white currants lingering in the tail. Nice! 21.06.2015
