Pretty standard stuff here. Wheat, banana esters. Body isn’t as foggy as you’d expect, but still has a slight fog.

Cloudy, yellow coloring. Sourish smell. No head, and no lace. Feels overly carbornated. Has a nice citrusy taste. Not my favorite style, but still good.

On tap at the brewery. Pale yellow. This German-style weizen is a sweet-wheat blend with tates of clove, bananas and spice. I prefer the American hefes a bit more...so just okay with me.

Lemon, lots of bubblegum, some green apple. Nose is apple, wheaty, slight yeast. Nice

Draft @ the brewery. Semi-cloudy orange. Sweet and sugary lemons, wheat. Finishes with a fresh zesty sweet lemon flavor.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2004 (Draft: Bear Republic Brewery in Healdsburg, CA) Tastes like a light Belgian golden ale; Sweet bubblegum is the dominant flavor, with some spiciness and Belgian yeast in the finish; Mild wheat arom and lightly spicy with some banana aroma; Clean medium-bodied palate; Light golden in color and totally clear

[email protected] brewery. decent enough. some clove and vanilla aromas, quite pale, a little flat with a late hit of alcohol. still it was a relief after some awful american style wheats

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2004
[email protected] Republic brewpub. Yeasty banana, lemon and clove, some menthol to finish off. Tangy, and refreshing.

Tap at brewpub. Big wheat aroma with cloves. Hazy, medium gold. Flavor is estery, of cloves and a bit of banana. Wheat finish. Nice representation of the style.

Had at the brewpub in Healdsburg. Nice gold color with a huge thick head. Aroma was banana and spice. Taste was very similiar to the aroma, spicely and light. A decent Hefe.
