On draft @ Bear Republic.
Appearance, cloudy, nice carbonation. Unfiltered hefeweizen.
Big fan of this one. Listed as "Wine Country Wheat" at Bear Republic. I don’t know if this is a different recipe than the regular hefeweizen or not, but I actually kind of love this beer.
It’s a wonderful fruity hefeweizen. Definitely some residual sugar. Reminds me of a sweeter weihenstephaner. Would definitely order this one again.
A pleasant light bodied but full flavored brew. Big on the clove and banana without being too over the top with a light yeasty spice and a hint of lemon in the nose and flavor. Gription79 (2886) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Had at the brewery on draft.Banana, tartness, doughy, bubblegum, unfortunately there was no clove. BVery (10327) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Tap at the brewpub. Hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Lots of wheat, pretty strong clove, mild ripe banana. Decent. Concealer (1245) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Tap. Hazy yellow with clean white head. Aroma is full of banana, light yeast, light spice, light wheat. Flavor is swrey citrus, banana, spice and wheat. gmb5127 (234) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Not much of an aroma, taste is weak but very smooth. It has a hint of banana as expected,

Sampler at the brewery. Pretty straight forward, traditional hefe, though a bit on the lighter side. Dry finish. Sessionable, but not terribly memorable. PhillyCraft (7082) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Tap at Kraftwork for their Bear Republic event. Pours unfiltered murky yellow with thin white head, not much lacing. Aromas and flavor of wheat, apple juice, german malts, and light hops. Sessionable, but most german styles are boring to me. Slipstream (2608) - USA - NOV 29, 2012
On draft at The Pony Bar and called Wine Country Wheat. This was a mild and bland wheat brew. It is supposed to be a German hefeweizen, but it is lacking in flavor, sweetness, and character. Not bad, but I was hoping for better from Bear Republic. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - NOV 19, 2012
